OBJECTIVES
Essentially, Communication is the transfer or exchange of ideas or information or sending messages to and from one person(s) or place to another.
It is a process by which information moves between people, through the communication cycle or path to another.
Communication is a medium for expressing oneself.

and courage to state one’s mind, opinions or ideas clearly, without the feeling of intimidation.
Assertiveness is the ability to state one’s views and standing up to fight for his/her rights, while respecting the rights and views of others.
ASSERTIVENESS
• ‘Assertiveness is standing up for your right to be treated fairly. It is expressing your opinions, needs, and feelings, without ignoring or hurting the opinions, needs and feelings of others.’

Building one’s self-confidence and assertiveness generally, is an attempt at transforming oneself to be able to stand up to others and resist pressures.
To be assertive is how you can exert a little more control over other people and situations that affect you, to be in control of yourself.
Assertiveness can be passive or aggressive, depending on your confidence level.
