How to sign documentswith Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader

IMPORTANT NOTE

Adobe provides two software solutions for working with PDFs: Acrobat (Pro and Standard): paid Reader: free, with limited functionality

The configuration and signature instructions are the same for Acrobat and Reader (slides 4−15).

If you are using Acrobat you can sign any PDF.

Older versions of Reader only allow you to sign PDF documents with signature permissions; in order to be signed with Reader, a PDF must have been created in Acrobat, as explained in slides 22−25.

Reader XI and later versions allow you to sign any PDF.

Open the document you wish to sign and insert your card into the reader

Open Trabajar con certificadosin the subwindow Firmar:

If you have configured an appearance for your signature, select it in Aspecto
