Catholic Diocese of Pueblo for more than 16 years coordinating liturgical music and

liturgy.

Published composer with World Library Publications and Oregon Catholic Press.

Consultant, workshop speaker, coordinator and organizer for many music programs and

functions in the community.

Member of National academy of Songwriters (NAS) and American Society of Composers

and Publishers Association (ASCAP).

Elizabeth Smith

BA in Vocal Performance studied under William Kellogg, Bonnie Norton, and Doyle

Muller.

More than 50 years of playing the piano with lessons under Helen Concialdi, Frank

Cedrone, Victoria Markowski, and Dr. Michael Beck.

Employed for 13 years at St. Francis Xavier Church as the Music Director and sang in

the Choir for the Catholic Diocese of Pueblo for more than 16 years and am the music

teacher at St. John Neumann School for the past 3 years.

Performed with many Oregon Catholic Press composers at workshops.

Consultant for a Cantor Worshop in Alamosa, Colorado.

Assisted Lupe Gutierrez at Central High School with the choirs.

Elizabeth Zawadowski, NCTM - Keyboard

♪ Began the study of piano at the age of seven.

♪ Received a full scholarship to the National Music Camp in Interlochen, Michigan at age

14.

♪ Awarded the State and Regional Divisions of the National Federation of Music Clubs

competition at age 17.

♪ Received Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance (with distinction)

from Indiana University.

♪ Judged competitions and presented pedagogical topics and master classes for teacher

and student groups.

♪ Past President of the Southern Colorado Music Teachers Association for 10 years,

member of the Pikes Peak Music Teachers Association, and Music Teachers National

Association.

♪ Maintains a private studio since 1977, teaching all ages and all levels of piano.

♪ A regular performer for the American Music Society in Colorado Springs, and locally, she

is a member of the performer for the MacDowell Club.

♪ Performs in community events.

Al Eberhardt - Instrumental

♪ Described as one of the most versatile trumpeters in the United States.

♪ Performed with many of America’s greatest stars.

♪ Al’s dance/jazz band known as “The Changing Times” is one of Colorado’s most popular

variety groups. He is the principal trumpet of the Pueblo Symphony and Pueblo

Municipal Band.

♪ He is an educator, clinician, and composer of trumpet pedagogy aids.

♪ Considers his award as a Cramer Foundation winner and command performances for

four U.S. Presidents as highlights of his career.

♪ Currently he is an Artist in Residence instructor at CSU Pueblo.

Dance – Coke Stage

Lisa M. Morgan

Has been a dancer, teacher, and choreographer for more than 25 years.

Currently teaches at Sarah Shaw Dance Studio in Pueblo.

Taught ballet and jazz at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center and several dance schools in

Southern Colorado.

Former Ballet Mistress, Administrative Assistant, Interim Artistic Director,

Choreographer, and Teacher for the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center for 10 years.

Performed many lead and corps roles in ballets and in several dance competitions and

festivals around the state.

Designs and creates dance costumes.

Amy Morgan

Principal Company Member of the Sangre de Cristo Ballet Theatre (SBT) from 1993 to

2003.

As a dancer, she studied ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and hip-hop.

Performed many lead roles with the SBT during her career including “Sugar Plum Fairy”

& “Clara” in the The Nutcracker, “Amy March” in the Little Women, “Princess” in the

Firebird.

During her time with the SBT, she also taught and choreographed for the Sangre de

Cristo School of Dance with emphasis on tap.

Currently she is a 5th grade teacher for Pueblo School District #70 and has recently

earned her Black Belt in Karate.

State Performing Arts Contest

Schedule for the Day

8:00 a.m. Keyboard, Instrumental and Vocal in the Small Animal Building;

9:00 a.m. Dance at the Coke Stage; and

Theatrical in the 4-H Auditorium

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (APPROXIMATELY) Lunch

Please be checked in at your events 30 mins prior to the START time of each event. For

example, if your event is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. you will check-in at 7:30 a.m.

All awards will be presented at their respective locations approximately 30 to 45 minutes (when

the tabulations are complete) after the final performance. The emcee awards will be presented

at the end of the Theatrical competition in the 4-H Auditorium.

ALL TIMES listed in the program are approximate… Please don’t leave the area of your

competition until after you compete.

Attention Performing Arts Contestants:

The back of the girl’s dorm will not be available for changing this year. You will need to

use the newly remodeled bathrooms. Please come to the Camp Tobin office and pay

$10 to receive the code for the dorms.

Keyboard/Piano & Instrumental Division: Time Limit is 6 minutes (Orchestras 10 minutes). Copy of music is required for judges. Vocal Division: Time Limit 6 minute.
