Color Wheel Sculptures! What is The Color Wheel? - The Color Wheel is a circle with different colored section. Each color is placed in a special order and shows us how colors are related to one another! How do the colors work? - Colors are separated into groups. The first group are the PRIMARY colors! The primary colors are Red, Blue, and Yellow. These are known as our “natural” colors. - The second group of colors are the SECONDARY colors! These colors are each found directly in-between 2 primary colors. This is because it takes 2 Primary Colors to create 1 Secondary Color! - Notice that the groups of colors are NOT next to each other on the color wheel!

What is The Color Wheel?

- The Color Wheel is a circle with different colored section. Each color is placed in a special order and shows us how colors are related to one another!

How do the colors work?

- Colors are separated into groups. The first group are the PRIMARY colors! The primary colors are Red, Blue, and Yellow. These are known as our “natural” colors.

What is a Sculpture?

- A Sculpture is where an artist uses various tools to create a 3D form.

- Sculptures can be made out of clay, stone, wax, wood, and more!

Assignment: Using random objects from your house, create a Sculpture that represents the Color Wheel!

Some things to keep in mind: - The Color Wheel represents colors in a specific order. Remember to look at the previous

images to help you! - You can use ANY objects you can find. You will need at least 1 object for each color. If you

would like to use more you may! - Use the example photos below to help you!

After you create your sculpture, please answer the following questions: 1) Can you define the word “Sculpture?” 2) What are the names of the 2 color groups you learned about? Which colors belong to each

group? 3) In a few sentences, talk about how you created your Color Wheel Sculpture. What objects

did you use? Did you find anything difficult?
