• Last year in South and Central America, the second greatest improvement in the E-Readiness Index was made by Colombia. This way, Colombia added 13 points to its global ranking in 2004.
• In 2004, Colombia’s country homepage was ranked in the world’s Top 25 ( #23). In 2004, Colombia offered one of the most improved sites in the region for a one stop-shot e- government portal. This index changed from 0.362 in 2003 to 0.641 in 2004.
• Colombia added 46 points to its ranking in the e-participation index. It moved from position 56 to 10.
• Colombia, has been in the process of expanding the outreach of its e-government programs and is consolidating the participatory services to citizens.
