The scope of the work is the culmi- nation of the district wide long range facilities plan and public participation which enhances our school facilities and provides much improved out- door recreation opportunities throughout the community. The Referendum includes the follow- ing projects: Extensive Construction at the Mid- dle/High School to remove a deteri- orating high-school stadium structure and construct a new multi-purpose turf field using cork infill and a 6- lane track; to re-orient existing fields outside the stadium, adding a sec- ond, multi-sport turf field using cork infill; to reconfigure the existing soft- ball and practice fields to maximize use of our current space; to address ADA concerns throughout the facili- ty; to improve basketball courts, lighting, and fencing, drainage, utili- ties, paving and curbing. The play- grounds at all 5 elementary schools will be improved with new Safety System surfaces. Building Improvements at Stadi- um Field include new grandstands & press box, a 1-story building with team rooms, rest rooms and conces- sions, and a new special education life skills classroom with attached storage. The tax impact on the local average assessed home of $229,150 is $194 per year; or $84.66 per $100.000 of assessed value (not sales value). What A special referendum question to
