College Magazine ResearchThis is my research of College Magazines, I am going to look at three different Front Covers and talk about features of them, such as what the Magazines contain, how they are laid out and why they would appeal to students.

On this magazine it contains a Masthead, a Pull Quote and imagery of sixth form college students. The layout is neat and organised, this could show that this is a serious and informational magazine. This would appeal to student who are looking to do well, or for find answers the their questions, or even information of courses.

On this magazine it contains a Masthead, and drawn imagery of students playing sports. The layout is simple, containing not much information about the Magazine – this could go two ways, it could make people want to know what's inside or it could put people of reading it. This, in my opinion, would not appeal to students because it does not show much information and looks boring and un-interesting.

On this magazine it contains a Masthead, and imagery of students doing work. The layout is ‘cluttered’, the imagery varies in size and shape making it more eye-catching, but the writing is neat – this could show a contract, just like there is a contrast in students. This could appeal to students because it isn't completely organised and neat, and it could relate to the students own personal style.
