General Information The College for Kids program serves students entering grades 4 – 9 the following school year. We design our curricula to meet the needs of the general student population.

Guidelines for Parents

• Visitthecampuspriortothefirstdayofclassessoyourchild knows where his/her classes are held. • YoumaydropoffandpickupyourchildineitherLot1or Lot3onthePleasantHillcampus.Thesearetheonlyareas that will be monitored by College for Kids staff members. College for Kids is NOT responsible for students who are dropped off / picked up in other lots. • Itisnotrequiredthatyouparkyourcarinaparkingspace duringdropoff/pickuptimesatthePleasantHillcampus. FacultyCollege for Kids has chosen its faculty carefully to assure subject matter expertise and skill in working with young people. Many are referred by teachers and administrators in local schools. OtherinstructorsareDiabloValleyCollegefacultymembers.Allhave had practical experience with the subjects they teach and years of teaching experience.

DatesTherearetwo3-weeksessionsofCollegeforKids.ClassesareheldTuesday,WednesdayandThursday.Generallyclassesareonehourlong,withtheexceptionofaPhotographyclass,whichistwohours.Astudentcansignupforone,twoorthreeclasseseachsession,butclassesmustbeconsecutivelyscheduled.College for Kids does not provide supervision outside of class time.
