About Us

the principle of sustainable chocolate

We roast our cocoa beans ourselves in our workshops in Brussels. These beans

are sourced from only 5 producers scattered across the globe, from whose

plantations child labour is banned, where no glyphosate is used and where

CCN51-based beans are banned, to maintain the biodiversity of cocoa.

Obviously, this only works if we compensate our suppliers

at rates way above the international market price.

For each cocoa crop, we pay at least 4000 euros ton,

i.e. often twice the market price.

This decision lays the foundation for the added value by our 80 artisanal

chocolate makers who keep favouring a manual production process.

This commitment, in turn, allows us to share a sincere emotion:

the excitement of sustainable chocolate.

Pierre Marcolini, the founder of the eponymous house, has been honing his chocolatier skills for over 20 years, supervising every step from bean to bar. Each year, he travels the world in search of the finest cocoa species for his acclaimed “Grand Cru” chocolate.

As far as Pierre Marcolini is concerned, preparing chocolate is not only exciting but also the best way to encourage people to share, discover and be creative with chocolate. This frame of mind is based on a decision he took when he was still a child: as far as he was concerned, enjoyment should never be considered a “cardinal sin”. Where does his quest for the finest flavours come from? He wanted to create rare and unexpected bursts of emotions.
