The Dialogue
ATLAS Live - S. Goldfarb 2
Mary: When’s the next Muon Week?Fred: Not sure. Let me check the web site.Mary: I think it still shows last year’s dates.Fred: Where is it, anyway? Google does not show a thing. I thought I had a bookmark.Mary: Never mind. Did you see the article in the Times on the SUSY announcement?Fred: Yes. I would have liked to have seen our spokesperson’s speech. I see there was a special EVO meeting, but I did not see the announcement until this morning.Mary: Why doesn’t anyone at CERN ever let us know.Fred: I guess we are not on the right e-groups.
The Problems Difficulty to find / maintain current information on the
web Unaware of breaking events, important news item

The Dialogue

Emily: What’s this LHC stuff all about?Jake: I think they are trying to make a black hole or a big bang or something.Emily: I saw a video on YouTube. It was a rap. Are you sure it’s not a new group?Jake: No. Our teacher showed us some videos on their web site a few years ago. Pretty cool stuff about smashing particles. I wonder if it’s still working.Emily: Do you remember the URL?Jake: I might have a bookmark, somewhere. I doubt they have anything new, though.Emily: I heard they found some chick named Susie.Jake: Must have been hiding in the tunnel.
The Problems Need to announce news items to the public Need to disseminate new educational material
