From the applications to the networking layer, the Avaya Pod Orchestration Suite provides a centralized point for managing all components in the Collaboration Pod and for identifying and resolving issues quickly.

An umbrella management system, this suite delivers single sign on, a consistent look and feel, and includes these Avaya solution capabilities:

• Tighter integration of fault and performance monitoring

• Networking configuration

• Avaya Aura® management

• Pod element management

When integrated into the Pod Orchestration Suite, these capabilities provide layered dashboards for health, performance and analytics monitoring, pod component reporting, the ability to launch a variety of Avaya management applications plus link-and-launch into EMC and VMware applications.

Application Flow Analysis: Allows administrators to monitor, view and diagnose problems and resource consumption at

the application level.

vMotion Synchronous Switch and Storage Provisioning: Helps ensure that networking and storage resources are

provisioned appropriately by allowing alerts to be received from VMware vCenter when new VM activations, deletions

or moves occur.

Integration with VMware vCenter and EMC Unisphere: Enables link-and-launch capability to VMware vCenter and EMC

Unisphere to invoke vMotion, conduct configuration changes or to perform in-depth diagnostics.

Policy Management: Bundled into the Pod Orchestration Suite for network, employee, guest, business partner and

BYOD network access, this centralized policy engine performs context-based user and device network access

authentication and authorization and connects to all major directories such as Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, and

RSA Authentication Server.

Avaya Pod Visualization Manager (PVM)

Avaya Configuration Orchestration Manager (COM) with Virtualization

Provisioning Service (VPS)

COM provides centralized configuration, provisioning and troubleshooting

enterprise wide for Avaya devices and technology including Avaya Ethernet

Routing Switches and Wireless LAN. COM includes configuration tools, device

configuration wizards, sub-managers for specific tasks and/or network

protocols (e.g., Bulk Configuration, VLANs, Routing), and off-box element

device management.

Supporting the next-generation virtualized data center, VPS delivers visibility,

validation, automation and reporting across applications, servers and network

devices and synchronizes management of the VMware virtualized server

environment with the Avaya network.

Avaya IP Flow Manager (IPFM)

Delivering application flow analysis, this tool enables administrators to monitor,

view and diagnose problems and resource consumption at the application level

in a multi-vendor network environment.

Avaya Identity Engines (IDEngines)

A centralized policy engine, the Avaya Identity Engines Ignition Server performs

context-based user and device authentication and authorization for network

access. It connects to all major directories (Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, and

RSA Authentication Server, for example) to provide seamless integration with the

corporate directory infrastructure. High Availability helps ensure uptime of the

Ignition Server for unified and reliable access control to wired and wireless

networks.
