Dr. Podell brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, and is very highly regarded in the education and library communities. We are proud to have him join us, and be our new leader.
We would greatly like to thank Diane Scinta for stepping in as interim director during our search. Diane will continue to head our Children’s Department, and will assume the role of Assistant Director.

is interested in a position on the Cold Spring Harbor Library Board of Trustees. The qualifications for Library Board candidates are U.S. Citizenship, 18 years of age, and residency within the Cold Spring Harbor Central
School District for at least one year prior to the election. The term for trustees is three years. Petitions can be
obtained from the Election Clerk, Susan Tyska, Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Completed petitions are due Monday, March 7, by 5:00 p.m.

YEAR-END SUPPORTIn the last library newsletter, the Library Foundationinserted a contribution envelope. We are very grateful for your generosity. Funds from the Foundation enable special performances, Summerfest, and museum passes.
Contribution envelopes are always available at the library.
Registration with a Cold Spring Harbor Library card is ongoing for all programs. Children should be the appropriate age for each program. Caregivers are required to remain in the library during all children’s programs.
