(SCENE ONE)
INT. & EXT. - RAYS HOUSE, AND OUTSIDE - MOURNING
First look into the movie is Ray Tomarrow lying on a couch.
Everything is very quiet and peaceful, until an alarm goes
off. Ray freaks out franticly. He gets out of bed, with full
clothes on and looks down at himself confused but decides to
continue on and walks upstairs. He pours himself a bowl of
cereal and goes to turn on the TV. Once he picks up the
remote and attempts to turn it on, he knows something is
wrong.
RAY STANDS FACING BLANKLY AT A NOTE PASTED TO THE FRONT
DOOR. HE CAN’T TAKE HIS EYES OFF IT. VOICE OVER STARTS FROM
RAY.
RAY’S VOICE OVER
My name is Ray Tomarrow. I am a
fifteen year old boy born in the
year 2011. At the end of 2012, the
so called end of the world spiked a
zombie infection that barely
touched the face of the population.
For fourteen years I’ve been taught
how to fend off zombies with
exponentially growing IQ rates.
Some silence as Ray still stares
Today is January 26th 2026. 36 days
ago, the new so called "end of the
world" occurred. A large ball of
trash full of toxic flesh eating
gas hit the opposite side of the
world, while I was sleeping in my
air tight like basement. Knocked
out and put into a coma from the
impact. I now just woke up to a
world filled with zombies, toxins,
and a less amount of survivors than
the population of a tiny village.
And all I’ have to eat is cold
Pizza.
Opening Credits
Ray, who is still staring at the note, rips it off the wall,
and shoves it in his pocket. He then turns around and slips
on his shoes. Ray walks out side to an empty world, and
takes a look around. He starts to walk down the road as the
credits finish. The tiny community that used to be there is

completely deserted and barren. No houses are destroyed, but
there is no sign of human life except for Ray.
Ray gets inside. He runs upstairs and turns on his computer,
then he calls his best friend, Liam, on Skype version
25.7-3_Pro. Liam answers.
LIAM
Where, THE HELL, have you been?
I’ve sitting here for like, a month
wondering where the flipping’ frack
my best friend has been doing with
his post-apocalyptic time!
RAY
Hey Liam, nice to see you too! Now
this is going to sound a little
strange... But I slept through it.
LIAM
(Angry)
Yeah... That was what I was
counting on. Leave it to Ray to
sleep through all his family and
most of his friends getting killed!
RAY
Don’t get mad at me! This is a lot
to take in! In jut st one mourning.
LIAM
Screw you, and Get the hell over
here, we’re not going to be living
like everyday life anymore, so we
might as well stick together and
use what we can.
RAY
True dat... I’ll be right over
there.
LIAM
Look out for zombies
Ray hangs up the call.
(SCENE TWO)
3.
EXT. - LONG DUSTY ROAD - NOONISH
RAY AND LIAM ARE WALKING DOWN AN EMPTY STREET. RAY WITH HIS
HANDS IN HIS POCKETS, LIAM WITH SHADES ON. THE AIR IS DUSTY
AND THE SUN IS BEATING DOWN ON THEM. IT’S ALMOST LIKE A
DESERT WASTELAND IN THE MIDDLE OF A SUBURBAN AREA. THE
STREET IS LONG AND CARLESS. IT IS A VERY QUIET MOURNING.
RAY’S VOICE OVER
Now since the zombie infection
wasn’t really undead creatures that
roam around and eat things, it was
really just a long lasting,
incurable, infection that gave
people cravings to take up
cannibalism, and made their bones a
little brittle, nobody really
wanted to do anything about them.
So instead of taking action and
sending military help, the
government made territory for the
zombies so that they could have a
type of city for the zombies to
live in where they settled stuff on
their own and the way they wanted
to do things. It all seemed great
at first, but after the new
underground operation of the
"Zombie Hunters" took place, the
zombies got a little angry and shut
off all access from humans into
their towns. Now whenever they see
one of us, you have to run for your
life. And since the agreement from
the government states that the
zombies can run their towns their
way, the zombies have full control
over it, meaning they can leave
their town, kill a couple humans
for dinner, then go right back in
there and have it not be a crime
anymore, then while if a human even
touched a zombie, it makes you a
criminal. Now with almost all the
humans gone... you know who the
zombies are going to be after.
RAY
So... How did you survive... it?

LIAM
Bomb shelter in my backyard. The
thing’s prehistoric, it was built
during the cold war.
RAY’S VOICE OVER
Since our town was positioned right
in the middle of four zombie
cities, Contact with the outside
world was impossible. So
development basically took a hold.
Only thing that changed was the
fact that we could grow oranges
now. But we had climate change to
thank for that one.
LIAM
Must have been nice...
RAY
What?
LIAM
Sleeping through it...
RAY
Why?
LIAM
You get to miss all the crap.
RAY
Please elaborate, oh mighty know it
all.
LIAM
Well... Watching flesh eating
gasses kill your whole family
wasn’t very nice... And before that
even every single person in town
was freaking out. But there’s a hot
tub in my bomb shelter, so that was
pretty good.
RAY
Should we go back there?
LIAM
No, zombie military took it over
while I was out. We’ve got to find
some other place.

RAY
Okay, well where have you been
getting food for the past month?
LIAM
The shelter was full of animal
noodles, but I guess the zombies
got that. They don’t have much food
now that everyone’s gone. So
they’re pretty much swarming the
city.
RAY
Any weapons?
LIAM
My dad was a freaking zombie
hunter, of course I got weapons.
Liam pulls out a gun for Ray. It’s a simple pistol
LIAM
Keep it on you at all times, and
make sure we never split up, and
we’ll be alright. I ain’t going out
alone anymore, and too many times
have I seen someone I’m with get
killed and devoured by a zombie.
RAY
Like who? Did anyone else survive?
LIAM
Well... Josh is dead, Randy’s dead,
Valerie is dead, Ahmed went on
vacation, but I assume he’s dead.
Jill is dead, and Dan is dead.
RAY
Hmm...
LIAM
All that explaining worked up an
appetite... We should get some food
RAY
Well, I suppose if we’re the only
ones... we can just grab what we
want, from where we want.
Ray steps aside and runs into a random house. Opens the door
and after Liam walks in, shuts it.

(SCENE THREE)
INT. - RANDOM HOUSE - NOONISH
RAY AND LIAM ARE LOOKING THROUGH EVERY SINGLE THING IN THE
HOUSE. THEY ARE OPENING DOORS, DRAWERS, GOING THROUGH
SHELVES, AND ALMOST EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO FIND USEFUL
THINGS. THEY ARE LOOKING ALL OVER TRYING TO FIND WHAT IS
NEEDED. IN THE BASEMENT THEY FIND A BACKPACK, SO THEY START
PILING FOOD AND SUPPLIES INTO IT. BASICALLY IT’S A LONG
MONTAGE OF JUST THIS (SEARCHING THE HOUSE, GOING THROUGH
CUPBOARDS, ETC.).
Ray and Liam are just finishing up packing the bags. They
are both sitting on the ground in the kitchen.
LIAM
Hey Ray, we might need another bag
in case we stop by another house,
so can you run down to that storage
room and see if there’s another one
there?
RAY
Yea, sure, no problem.
LIAM
Remember, Gun out.
RAY
Right
Ray pulls out his gun, then drops it, Liam gives him the
look of death.
RAY
Calm down, I got it.
Ray goes downstairs. He starts looking around in the storage
room. He put his gun down on one of the shelves. After a
little while of searching he hears some rumbling in a
cupboard. He stops and looks at it. He then slowly walks
towards it and opens it up. A zombie jumps out.
ZOMBIE
Bllalradaga
RAY
Shoot!

The zombie pinned Ray up against a wall, and Ray is doing
everything he can to keep the zombie from biting him. The
face of the zombie isn’t what one would typically see in any
other zombie film. Instead of a disgusting green face with
tons of gore, the zombie just has blood around its mouth as
if it had been feeding on flesh. The zombies face is also a
pale colour opposed to green.
ZOMBIE
Come on, let go! We all need to eat
don’t we?
RAY
Sorry, I’m not really hungry right
now
Ray breaks free of the grip and steps out of the storage
room and gets in a defensive pose as the zombie get closer.
They are intensely staring at each other across the room.
RAY
Come on! I was in a self-defence
class for like... Two weeks!
ZOMBIE
Oh yea... RAAa!
The zombie jumps forward while making this sound and scares
Ray. Ray jumps back whilst screaming. He tenses his muscles
and gets into an even greater attack pose.
ZOMBIE
(Laughing)
A little tense?
The zombie starts getting closer. Taking slow but long steps
RAY
I just really don’t want to deal
with this right now!
ZOMBIE
So how about I just bite you, and
we can go eat you little friend
upstairs, together?
RAY
No sorry, being a zombie isn’t
really an interest of mine.
Ray starts reaching for the gun, but realizes it isn‘t
there, after grabbing around for a little while, he looks up
in despair. Then, sitting on a table, Ray sees a hammer
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 8.
ZOMBIE
(Attacking)
Come here ya little
Ray grabs the hammer and smashes the zombie over the head
with it. Stumbling down, he gets up and continues smashing
the hammer over the zombie until he grows tired. He then
runs into the storage room where he left his gun, grabs it,
and bolts up the stairs with fear in his eyes. As Ray gets
up stairs he runs into the room Liam is in, and starts
freaking out.
RAY
Okay, okay, okay... One down Liam,
one down.
LIAM
Wait, you actually killed one?
There was one down there?
RAY
Yeah, he was hiding in a cupboard.
I can’t believe that just happened
Ray is panting very hard due to the extreme adrenaline rush
of almost getting killed.
LIAM
Oh my goodness Ray, One zombie and
you think you’re the king of zombie
killers
RAY
I’m not acting like the king of
zombie killers!
LIAM
Alright mister one down.
RAY
Yea, how many have you killed since
this thing happened?
LIAM
I only started killing when the
shelter was raided, so, probably
eight or nine.
RAY
Alright. Let’s keep count. First
one to one hundred wins.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 9.
LIAM
Wins what?
RAY
We’ll decide later.
They both look at each other.
LIAM
Deal.
RAY
Good. Now... I guess it’s time to
eat. What is there?
LIAM
Well, I took a look in the fridge
when you weren’t looking.
RAY
Uh huh?
LIAM
I guess who ever lived here was a
believer in this end of the world
crap, because they ordered 100
boxes of Flesh Pizza before it
happened, and I guess kept them in
here.
RAY
I hope that flesh part is a pun
meaning fresh.
LIAM
Yea, it’s a tiny pizza place by the
edge of town. A lot of zombies hung
out there.
RAY
Which doesn’t really help my brain
from not thinking there’s human
flesh in it.
LIAM
Quit complaining and eat, you one
downer.
Ray sits down.
RAY
You can’t blame a kid that’s been
out for a month for thinking

The shot fades out to something
(SCENE FOUR)
INT. RANDOM HOUSE AND BACKARD - MOURNING
SHOT STARTS WITH RAY’S POINT OF VIEW, HE IS JUST WAKING UP
ON THE COUCH OF THE HOUSE. EVERYTHING IS DARK AND BLURRY AS
THE SUN SHINES THROUGH THE WINDOW ONTO RAY. ONCE THE
DARKNESS AND BLUR FADES AWAY HE CAN SEE LIAM STANDING OVER
HIM. HE HAS THE FUNNIEST SMIRK ON HIS FACE AND IT SEEMS HE’S
BEEN STANDING THERE FOR A WHILE.
LIAM
Wakey, wakey, Raymond
Ray grabs his head in pain. He looks very stressed
RAY
Oh god my head... Also don’t call
me that. But oh god my head!
LIAM
You’re definitely not over your
coma yet bud.
RAY
Why? What happened?
LIAM
Well, We finished a pizza, then we
started a game of monopoly. Half
way through I was winning, and you
were completely knocked out!
RAY
Holy crap... What time is it?
LIAM
Almost eleven
There is a moment of silence.
RAY
Well don’t just stand there! What
are we doing today?

LIAM
I don’t know about you... But I
want to win that bet. Look outside
with me.
RAY
You know you’re not going to kill
one hundred zombies in one day.
Ray gets up and they walk to the window.
RAY
Holy balls
Liam is smiling
LIAM
That’s right
Out side of the window marching back and fourth is about
five zombies, all carrying guns.
RAY
How the hell did you get the zombie
military to get here?
LIAM
I didn’t they just showed up, I
guess since there aren’t that many
humans left the zombie towns
surrounding us decided to start
rounding up the ones that are.
RAY
Yeah, us!
LIAM
Yeah.
RAY
And you want to go outside and kill
them? You want to go outside and
try to shoot the zombies that have
been trained to shoot with deadly
precision? What year do you think
this is Liam, 2013?
LIAM
Ray, There’s about a 10% chance
we’re going to survive this
apocalypse thing. We might as well
die having fun, unless you’re too
much of a wussy?
(CONTINUED)

RAY
I don’t know about you but I don’t
think being shot at is very fun.
LIAM
Wussy, wussy, wussy, wussy, wussy!
RAY
Fine I’ll do it!
Ray starts walking toward the back door.
RAY’S VOICE OVER
Now what I really wanted to say was
"Liam you’re an idiot, let’s run as
fast as we can away from here
screaming like idiots and hope we
don’t get killed!" But Liam did
have a point. If we really wanted
our new home to be safe from
zombies we kind of did have to kill
the zombies right outside.
LIAM
You ready?
RAY
I think it’s crazy, but yea, I’m
ready.
LIAM
Okay. There’s only five of them so
we should be fine as long as we
have our guns, and like you said
they are pretty sharp shooters, so
we might need to do a little
hiding.
RAY
I’ve Lived my whole life with this
Liam, I know.
LIAM
Alright.
RAY
You hide behind the chair, I’ll
hide behind the swing
LIAM
Yeah, wait to make me run further.
(CONTINUED)

RAY
Three two one go!
They both run out and hide behind the obstacles. Ray runs
toward the swing and Liam jumps past him to the chair. As
they run to their designated obstacles they duck and fire.
But no zombies are hit. The zombies of corse notice them and
hide behind things to. There is a brief silence before one
of the zombies speaks
ONE OF THE ZOMBIES
Get up now and we won’t shoot you
OTHER ZOMBIE
(Quiet)
Yeah, we’ll just eat you.
LIAM
Hey Ray! How ’bouts we scratch
whatever kills we had before and
start fresh right now?
RAY
I’m good with that
Very quickly Ray gets up and fires three shots, all hitting
a different zombie and killing them, after Liam see’s what
he has done, he gets up and kills two.
LIAM
Dude?
(GETS UP)
Unfair lead!
RAY
No way man, you’re just jealous
that I’m the king of zombie
killing.
LIAM
Oh... Yeah.
RAY
Come on... What’s for breakfast?
They both go inside

(SCENE FIVE)
MONTAGE - TIME PASS & INT. RANDOM HOUSE - NOON
RAY’S VOICE OVER
Since then on, we got a pretty good
routine going. It turned out the
house we lived in used to be owned
by a zombie hunter, so the place
was pretty much scattered with
ammo, and power sources weren’t
even cut off to the house either,
so we had lights and TV and
everything. After we found out
about that we decided to make the
place our home, and call it "The
House of the Cold Pizza Eaters".
Almost every night we ate some of
the cold pizza. We tried to go out
places but the food court in the
mall was infested and all the fast
food joints were crawling with rats
so staying home was usually our
choice of interest. Since evenings
got pretty boring we would take
turns every night sitting up on the
roof and shooting every zombie we
see, and on Fridays we would go to
the mall or the park near the
house, which were some pretty
infested places, and go on a zombie
shoot out till who knows when.
Doing this kept our kill numbers up
pretty high. In just one month Liam
was at 79 and I was at 81. We were
getting so close that we had to
finally decide what the other one
had to do.
Ray and Liam are sitting in the living room in deep
conversation.
LIAM
It has to be something dangerous,
but not deadly. Something that
isn’t that bad but we really don’t
want to do.
RAY
Right...
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 15.
Ray looks down at the table and sees Liam’s gun, then looks
at his own and realizes that Liam’s is clearly better than
his.
RAY
Winner gets the better gun.
LIAM
What?
RAY
Yea
LIAM
Hell no!
RAY
Hell yes. First one to one hundred
deserves a better gun. First one to
kill one hundred zombies gets that
gun, the gun of kings.
Liam looks down at the gun. Then looks back up at Ray
LIAM
Fine, deal.
RAY
Nice. My turn on the roof I guess.
LIAM
Yea, don’t shoot too many zombies
up there, I’m afraid you’ll hurt
your back or something.
RAY
Yea yea.
LIAM
No seriously! You should probably
just keep it easy and let any
zombies get at us!
As Liam is talking Ray is walking away towards the upstairs,
gun in hand.
RAY
You’re just afraid nineteen zombies
will show up.
LIAM
I never said that! I don’t even
give a crap!
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 16.
Ray gets up onto the roof and sits back. He looks out into
the darkened sky and sits back. Then his gun slides off his
belly. When he reaches down into the gutter to get it, then
sits back up, he accidentally leans against the TV antenna.
The antenna bursts into flames, and Ray goes flying off the
roof. Down in the basement, Liam is watching TV and it goes
out.
LIAM
What the hell?
Back outside.
RAY
Oh poop, the pain. LIAM!
Liam is downstairs listening to music on an IPod
RAY
Oh that jerk
Ray gets up off the ground and heads toward the front porch,
when he gets closer he looks up and sees a zombie standing
there waiting for him.
ZOMBIE
(In a thick accent)
Look who came to the party.
RAY
You serious, I don’t want to deal
with one of these right now
ZOMBIE
Don’t worry, if you be real quiet
and resist moving, I’ll just eat
your brains, so we can all be
happy!
RAY
Why would that make me happy?
ZOMBIE
You dead, I’m no longer hungry...
That would make anyone happy!
RAY
Screw this
Ray reaches for his gun only to find it’s no longer in his
pocket.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 17.
RAY
You’re kidding me
ZOMBIE
I guess my plan is the only one
left, eh?
As the zombie starts coming after Ray, Ray bolts it down the
street.
ZOMBIE
Don’t be scared! It’s only going to
hurt for a second!
The zombie starts chasing after Ray
RAY (STILL RUNNING)
Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap. Are you
freaking serious. Oh my god I’m
going to be out running all night!
~~~
Liam is at home sleeping on the couch.
~~~
Ray has found a hiding place and is breathing really, really
heavily. He has his back up against a dumpster and there is
the zombie in the background searching around for him.
ZOMBIE (SINGING LIGHTLY)
Eating brains, and drinking blood,
all these things are what I love.
Hunting human, and tearing skin.
I’m a zombie, I kill humans.
Shot is back to Ray behind the dumpster.
ZOMBIE
Come on out sonny boy! I’m getting
hungry!
Silence
ZOMBIE
Meh
The zombie walks off. Ray still behind the dumpster.
RAY
Holly Balls...
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 18.
Ray turns around and shuts his eyes for what seems like a
second... Then he hears the voice of a man.
KURGLE
Scary ain’t it?
RAY BAHH
Scared by the presents of Kurgle,
Ray jumps back.
RAY
When in the hell did you get
there?!
KURGLE
A couple seconds ago, right after
that zombie out there couldn’t see
me I ran out here.
RAY
So there are! other survivors out
here!
KURGLE
Yea man! The names Kurgle!
RAY
Hello Kurgle, my name is-
KURGLE
Ray, I know.
RAY
Wait, How?
KURGLE
I’m your mind, you’re completely
knocked out cold right now,
extremely at risk of being eaten,
but you can’t really do anything
about it.
RAY
Well... If you’re my brain... then
wake me up.
KURGLE
I’m afraid it’s a little more
complicated than that... you see, I
can’t control your brain, I just
speak for it. Like the Lorax.

RAY
What the hell is the Lorax?
KURGLE
What the hell are you talking
about, what the hell is the Lorax!
You don’t know the Lorax! Jeez all
you kids do nowadays is play games!
You know what it was like back in
the 2000’s, you know back in my
day! The best we could get for our
computers was 500 GB, now you kids
and your 90tb computers with your
build in led monitor. What the hell
is this, this isn’t the future this
is ridiculous, now wake up before I
beat the crap out of you!
Ray wakes up and it is mourning, Ray is breathing heavy
because of the recent nightmare.
(SCENE SIX)
EXT. BEHIND DUMPSTER - MOURNING
Ray takes a look around and sees no zombies. He is still
hiding behind the dumpster. He gets up and takes a peek
around it. There are no zombies. So ray starts to walk. Cut
to Liam at home. He is being frantic and sitting by the
window. Ray appears outside, Liam gets up and walks to the
door. He opens it, runs down the lawn and tackles Ray
RAY
Dude! What the hell!
LAIM
(Right in Rays face)
Ray... What did you do last night!?
RAY
I got chased by a zombie, then fell
asleep by a dumpster.
LAIM
Ray... If you ever do something
like that... and scare me like
that... Ever again, I will castrate
you.
Ray looks at Liam, skeptically
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 20.
LIAM
You know my serious face Ray... If
you do that ever again I will cut
your balls off.
RAY
Okay... Can we go inside now?
LIAM
No.
RAY
Why not... I’m starving!
LIAM
We have to take care of something
today.
RAY
What is it?
Cut to the local park. Ray and Liam are hiding behind a tree
and peeking around it. They see three zombies, two of them
dressed in zombie uniform and one looks like the one that
chased Ray.
RAY
That’s him?
LIAM
Yep. Son of The president of Zombie
America.
RAY
What’s his name?
LIAM
Didn’t you take zombie History last
year? That’s Wilfred Z the second.,
He emigrated from Europe before the
crisis, then his dad was one of the
first to get bit. Since his dad was
a huge human politician, the
zombies decided that he was a good
fit for zombie ruler. But a few
weeks before the death ball, he got
shot by the FBI zombie communist
trackers unit. So now him, his son,
is in charge.
RAY
He’s the same one that chased me
down last night.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 21.
LIAM
Yeah?
RAY
Yeah. Lets shoot him.
LIAM
No, no.... I thought we would just
scope the area then stalk him back
to his camp or whatever.
Ray grabs the good gun out of his backpack.
RAY
You distract them, I’ll get the
kills.
LIAM
Wait... I don’t trust it.
Silence
RAY
Why? What’s wrong?
LAIM
There’s no reason for just the
three of them to be standing out in
a field all alone in human
territory! They’ve gotta have
others hiding in the bushes!
RAY
Come on, we’ll just shoot them from
here! We’ll be fine!
LIAM
I’m going home if you’re going to
shoot. We’re going to get
slaughtered. I’m sorry I brought us
here.
RAY
Seriously Liam!
Cuts to the boys stepping in the front door.
RAY
Why the hell would you do that! Are
you just scared that I might kill
more zombies than you!
(CONTINUED)

LIAM
I just didn’t feel safe
RAY
You don’t have to baby out Liam,
What’s the deal! You just don’t
want to be out manned by me
LIAM
(Yelling)
This was never about killing
zombies Ray, This was about staying
alive!
They both sit on the couch, Ray sits very awkwardly.
LIAM
After the zombie revolution, and
after I found out howe little the
government could do about it, I
just kinda got completely mad at
the world, why this? The zombies
hate us and the government, we
agree with the zombies and hate the
government, but the zombies hate us
to much for us to side with them,
and the government is all pissy
pants in the corner wondering what
the hell they’re going to do. And
now after the "End of the world"
all I can do with MY time is kill
zombies. Killing zombies was just a
way to get around all this crap,
because it made me feel alive!
We’re all going to die, and we
can’t do anything about it.
There is a long silence, as Ray and Liam think.
RAY
I had a crush on Chelsea McCoy...
for four years. Then she got killed
by a giant flesh eating ball of
trash that fell from the sky. And I
will never get over her. Because
I’m going to die.
LIAM
About that Ray
RAY
What?
(CONTINUED)

me the whole time and we could’ve
been together for at least a month,
but we couldn’t because my best
friend waited before he told me.
LIAM

RAY

time.

RAY

LIAM

RAY

for the first two years we knew

Liam walks away and goes upstairs. Ray is left sitting
there. Fade out
(SCENE SEVEN)
INT. BEDROOM - MIDNIGHT
THE SHOT OPENS WITH RAY WAKING UP IN HIS BED IN THE MIDDLE
OF THE NIGHT, HE LOOKS OUT THE WINDOW AND SEES A FULL MOON
WITH A LITTLE BLACK SPOT OVER IT.
RAY
What the hell?
Ray sits up, he then fine tunes his zooming eyes to see
closer. He can now clearly see that it’s another giant ball
of trash, flying directly towards earth.
RAY
Oh my god... LIAM!
LIAM
(O.S)

Liam walks into the room
LIAM
What is it? You have another
nightmare sonny boy?
RAY
Look out the window
Liam goes toward the window and peers out.
LIAM
I don’t know what I’m looking at?
RAY
Look at the moon, use your zooming
eyes.
Liam zooms his eyes and looks at the moon.
LIAM
Damn.
RAY
What do we do?
LIAM
I don’t know!? I don’t have the
answer to everything?
RAY
Well you do have more experience in
this apocalypse thing than I do!
What’s happening!?
LIAM
Okay... All I know is that that’s
another giant ball of flesh eating
gas... Except, this time it’s
hitting our side of the globe.
RAY
How long till?
LIAM
Well, It’s between the moon and us,
so I’d say, a day tops...

A DAY! We can’t get out of here and
find shelter in a day!
LIAM
Okay listen, I know a way out.
Liam walks out of the room.
RAY
This is something bad tell me!
Cuts to them in the living room, Liam has a map laid out on
the table. He is pointing to it and explaining things.
LIAM
This is our town.
RAY
Right.
LIAM
Here are the four zombie towns
surrounding us.
RAY

LIAM
Over here between the zombie towns
of "Gringoose" and "Knahada", is a
pathway leading out into
no-man’s-land, and into the human
town of "Janilope". It’s an eight
hour walk, but I’ve been talking to
people on the internet lately, and
that’s where most of the survivors
are, they have extremely high tech
and expensive disaster shelters,
and if we make it in time we’ll
survive.
RAY
Let’s do it than.
LIAM
Yeah?
RAY
Yeah! It’s better than dying!

How should we go about doing this?
LIAM

RAY
It’s our only shot Liam... We gotta
do it. It’s our only hope. I mean,

wasn’t, Seth never gave up... He

Oh yea, You stuff your backpack

The boys both get up and start doing their assigned
projects. Like the montage of when they were grabbing things
in scene three, except this time not just sifting through
stuff, but taking stuff.
Cut to the boys standing in front of the path.
LIAM
This is it...
RAY
Yep.
LIAM
Give me the time Ray.
Ray checks his watch
RAY
Six forty five.
LIAM
Giving us Seven hours and fifteen
minutes to get to safety.
RAY
Yep.
LIAM
Last one there’s zombie meat!
Liam starts running
RAY
Hey, wait up!
Ray starts running
RAY
(Shouting) I will not be
zombie meat!

As the boys are running zombies start jumping out of the
bushes onto them. They start shooting and counting up their
score.
LIAM

13 Minutes later
RAY

Ray tripped over a stump and has fallen to the ground
RAY
(In Pain) Six.
Liam runs up to Ray.
LIAM

RAY
Totally... I just face planted
that’s all.
LIAM

Liam grabs Ray’s hand and pulls him up.
LIAM
Then I guess you’re good to keep
going. By the way... Ninety

RAY
Oh Liam you freaking Idiot.
LIAM
Time check?
RAY
Seven O’ clock A.M.

Liam starts walking
RAY

think I sprained my ankle.
LIAM
Walk it off bud! There’s a hospital
in Janilope They’ll treat you nice
there. But only if we get there!
RAY
Well can we take a short break?
LIAM
Do you want to die a painful flesh
eating death?
RAY
(Mad) Fine! Fine, I’ll just do
whatever you want me to do!
I’m your superman Liam, I can
just walk off a broken ankle!
LIAM
Sprained ankle.
RAY

Ray starts walking away
LIAM
Where are you going?
RAY
I’m going to walk on this side of
the path, and you walk on that side
of the path! And we don’t talk
until we get there!
LIAM

Liam walks to the other side of the path and they start
walking.

EXT. LONG PATH - MOURNING
SHOT OPENS WITH RAY WALKING DOWN THE PATH WITH HIS HANDS IN
HIS POCKETS. LIAM WALK ONTO THE SHOT
LIAM
Listen Ray, I’m sorry! I just don’t
want to walk way over there
anymore, it’s all muddy.
RAY
Is that the only reason you came
over here? To get out of the mud?
LIAM
Ray?
RAY
(Stops walking)
Say you’re sorry for betraying me.
LIAM

RAY
And for not letting us stop for a
break.
LIAM
Believe me I am.
RAY
Now stop being a dickhead and let
me lead us now. We’ve got two more
hours, and that ball of death from
above is getting closer and knowing
the fact that it could kill us
anytime is really giving me a
headache. So shut your mouth, draw
your gun and keep on look out while
we walk, because we’re really being
stupid walking straight through
zombie country.
They continue to walk.
LIAM

A montage of the boys walking starts, the sun gets hotter
and they are getting very hot, the giant death ball is
getting bigger in the sky and they both look worried looking
up at it.
LIAM
Are we there yet?
RAY
It should be right over here. We’ve
only got 10 minutes left!
They continue to walk for a little bit
LIAM
There, there it is!
RAY
Quick, I can’t run! Piggy back me
there!
LIAM
I am not piggy backing you there!
RAY
(While trying to get on Liam’s
back) Come on it’s not that
far
LIAM
Do you know how awkward we’re going
to look when we go up to a family
in a bomb shelter with you on my
back?
RAY
We could explain to them after!

Liam starts running with Ray on his back, as he’s running
the death ball is getting bigger and bigger and closer and
closer, you can see the fire coming off of it as it starts
to come into Earth’s atmosphere.
LIAM
(Screaming like a girl)
HOLY PANCAKES IN THE PANTRY!

They run into a backyard and knock frantically on a bomb
shelter door
RAY
(Screaming)
LET US IN! WE’RE FRIENDLY!
LIAM
We’re going to freaking die out
here Ray, We’re going to freaking

RAY
God Freaking damn it!
Ray turns around, gets out his gun and starts shooting at
the ball of death as it comes closer.
The door swings open
MAN INSIDE SHELTER
Come in quick!
Liam grabs the man and throws him out of the way, then he
and Ray run inside.
As Ray runs in the shelter, the note on the door from scene
one flies out of his pocket and lands on the ground, about
to get completely destroyed. As the death ball comes closer
and the screen turns white with heat. The note reads off.
RAY’S VOICE OVER
(Speaking the note)
December. 21st 2026. Dear Ray, Your
father and I went into Janilope
today to get some Christmas
shopping done. If the ball of death
really does happen, then we will be
in my friend Stacy Anderson’s bomb
shelter on Yellow Road. We’ll give
you two months to find us, because
on February 30th, we will be
leaving to Oshrock the capital. We
both love you. Signed Mom and Dad.
