Coker Columbarium

MISSION

To provide a ministry to the congregation

and community by establishing and maintaining

a final resting place, consecrated in a spirit of

dignity and reverence, for the ashes of loved ones

at eternal rest with our Lord.

In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I

would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

John 14:2

WHAT is a COLUMBARIUM?

A Columbarium…

• Is a dedicated, consecrated, permanent structure.

• Has Niches (chambers) designed to hold the ashes of

loved ones in containers (bronze boxes) known as Urns.

• Serves as the final resting place for ashes of loved ones.

Having a Columbarium on Coker Church grounds…

• Continues the historic tradition of the church to serve its

members from birth, to baptism, through life, into death.

• Is a statement of our faith in the resurrection, the life

everlasting, and the church triumphant.

• Is appropriate as the final resting place for the earthly

remains of those who, in life, loved the church.
