21st April 2015 ABSTRACTThis project has been carried out as a part of the curriculum of the Master of Business Administration program of ICFAI University. Here the focus is on the various observations made over the organizations, which can be related to the theoretical concepts learned throughout the year.This project was carried out at HINDUSTAN COCA-COLA BEVERAGES PVT.LTD a well-known beverage industry. This report on HCCBPL is done to connect all the VLEs (Village level entrepreneurs) of Sahaj Vashudha Kendra of Vaishali district. The main aim of this project is to start the selling of coca cola products at every CSCs(Common Service Centre) and to convince all the VLEs to work as a retailer of all coke products.To convince all the VLEs ,I visited every Sahaj Vashudha Kendra centre situated at every panchayat of the Vaishali district. Prior to this I mapped each Sahaj Vashudha Kendra with the nearest Coca cola distributor to make the logistic process easy.During the whole process I convinced most of the VLEs to work as a retailer of coca cola products and they have started selling coca cola products at their CSCs. In the project I had tried my level best to arrange the work in systematic and chronological way.

INTRODUCTION

Todays market is changing at incredible pace. Company operates in a Darwinian market place where the principal ofnatural selection leadsto the survival offittest. In additional to the globalization & technology changes we are also witnessing apower shift form manufactures to gain retailers, arapid growth & acceptance of store brands, newretail firms, growingprice and value sensitivity of consumers, a seemingly diminishing role for mass-marketing and advertising and disconcerting erosion of brand loyalty.Overthelastfewyearshundredsofcompanieshavegreatlyimprovedtheir performance &thegraph ofgrowth through superior salespromotion services. Sales Promotion services have become a subject of huge interest in recent years. Dry outlets were searched in order to help the promotion. Dry outlets are regarded as the potential market for the company.Government of India has formulated the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) with the vision of providing all government services at an affordable cost, and integrated manner at the doorstep of the citizen. For this they have established Vasudha Kendra at every Panchayat. The main purpose of this project is to increase the number of outlets of coca cola in rural areas by starting the selling of all the coca cola products at every Vasudha Kendra centre.Details of location of all the Vasudha Kendra are collected from the website www.csc.gov.in. A throughout maping is done to map the distributors location with each Vasudha Kendra. This is done to make sure that from which distributor the supply of product can be possible. I visited each Vasudha Kendra to convince the VLEs to sell the coca cola products.

The reason behind this project is to know the availability of activation element in CSCs,to know the problem in the distribution of activation element, to identify suitable activation element according to the outlet's location,to know the impact of activation element on sell,to know the impact of activation element on customer,to help M.D. (Market Developer) in outlet activation.

The main scope of study is to understand the impact of S.G.A (Sells Generating Assets) on sell, to increase number outlets, to make a platform for trainee to work on difficult dry outlets.Every project has some limitations and the limitations in this project are The time period of study was only for two month so it was not possible to cover all the areas and go into the depth of the problem and make analysis,the psychologicalconditionvariesfrom placetoplacebecauseinmanyplaces outlet owner was not supportive.

The changes are dragging the companies instead of operating in defined market with a fixed number ofcompetitors and witha setof stable customer preference to amore volatile marketing atmosphere-almost a war zone like situation with rapidly changing variable like competitors, technology, business laws,trades policies, customers, brandloyalty etc. Companiesveryoften findthemselvesunpreparedandill equippedtohavea competitive edge over its competitors especially then, when changes are even difficult to be predicate precisely or accurately, this makes the situation more difficult for the companies & organization as they are not always in a position to adopt themselves and their activities to suit to the demands of the changed scenarios.Thus companies find themselves running in race where the road signs and rules keep changing too frequently & there is no visible finish line, no concept of permanent win. They simply have to keep racing in a direction to be the one, which the customer, public and society want them to go into.Vasudha KendraThe Coca Cola has started a project to initiate the selling of coca colas various products at every Vasudha Kendra which will keep it a step ahead from its closest competitor Pepsi. The Department of Information & Technology (DIT), Government of India, has planned to rollout out over 100,000 Common Services Centres (CSCs) across the country with a focus on the rural areas by June 2011. CSCs are envisioned as the front-end delivery points for government, private and social sector services to citizens of India. Further, CSCs will deliver services in the areas of telecom, agriculture, health, education, entertainment, FMCG products, banking and financial services, utility payments, etc. Each CSC is expected to serve a cluster of 6-7 villages, thereby covering more than six lakh villages across India. These CSCs are commonly known as Vasudha Kendra. Under the project, the idea is to facilitate a platform that will enable government, private and social sector organizations to integrate their social and commercial goals and take the benefits of information and communication tools (ICT) to the remotest corners of the country.

Mapping of Vasudha Kendra with Coca ColaDistribution strategy lies at the core of all successful market entry and expansion strategies. The globalization of manufacturing and marketing requires the development of exchange relationships to govern the movement of goods and services. New technologies are creating real-time (parallel) information exchange and reducing cycle times and inventories. So to make the distribution channel more efficient and to ensure availability of products each Vasudha Kendra is mapped with its nearest distributor. There are 290 CSCs in Vaishali district.To get more accurate information about this mapping I visited each distributor and sub-distributor of coca cola in vaishali district. This has also helped the company to know those remote rural areas where company has not reached yet.To maintain a smooth supply chain various sub-distributors has been made by the company known as AMC or Ramp.

After all the mapping has been done I visited each Vasudha Kendra and convinced the VLEs to start the selling of coca cola products at their centres .I also showed them few PPTs on the retailers margin which they can get on selling products like Thums Up, Coca Cola, Maaza, Limca, Sprite, Kinley etc.
