I don't typically gush over lightbulbs. In fact, I never gush over light bulbs -- because they're just light bulbs. But in my quest to change every light bulb in our house over to LED bulbs, I came across this MOST AMAZING REMOTE CONTROL, MULTI COLOR lightbulb. It's really amazing.

Simply pull out the plastic tab protecting the battery, and the bulb is fully controllable via the remote. You can change the colors, create custom colors, set various flash settings, and most of all: simply control any light or lamp from up to 20 meters. For me, this is a real life saver as I have a light in my loft that you have to walk a long way in the dark just to turn on.

Instead of rewiring my loft with a new three-way switch, I now can turn on my light simply with this remote.

While I typically search for things to find wrong with the products I review, this one is perfect in my estimation. It does about 100 more things than any other light bulb I've seen or used, and it's LED with a very nice glow. To be honest, I would have been delighted if this was just a white bulb that turned on and off via the remote. Having all the color options is just an added bonus x 10.


With the design of this bulb (common design across numerous vendors), you will never get the same amount of light as you would with a traditional or corkscrew bulb. The surface is dramatically reduced, as only the top, or half-sphere, emits light. If you don't have a shade, or one that is very translucent, you should be fine.

One of the nice features, even if you decide to not use some of the functions, is to just set it to yellow, which will match may standard, warm bulbs. If you elect to use white, it will have a blue tint just as it does in nature. It looks fine in one of my lamps, but I can definitely tell the lack of spill as it is compared to a florescent bulb.

What I would like to know, but can't find it written anywhere, is ifyou can use these outside, as long as they are shielded from elements. It says to not let them get wet, but I'm thinking for various holidays if one can install them in a sealed light fixture outside. I guess there is only way to know for sure! I don't fear it starting a fire or anything - the worst case is it will malfunction and die.


This bulb is so much fun!! I have installed other bulbs like this but they all require you to download apps to your iPhone to control them... I don't like to do that because of potential security issues with some of the apps. This comes with a remote control and works out of the box... you don't need the instructions at all (I do love the warning not to throw it into the fire). Besides solid colors (red, green, blue, white, yellow, cyan, purple) you can also select from 4 different "jump" modes and an auto mode which seems to cycle through all the different effects.

If you buy a couple of them, you can sync them with one remote.... would be GREAT for a party! I think it's sort of funny that people are buying these to replace standard incandescent bulbs... there are many less expensive yellow / white LED bulbs on the market. This is a PARTY light ... also great for holidays (green and red alternate if you program them) and I have to say, sort of a hypnotic effect.


I was going to do a video review for this product....How ever there already is one on Amazon that shows this light in great detail. I will say, this LED multi-color light is one of the best I have seen. The unit has really been designed well. The fins on the side of the light are a heat sink. With LED lights there is not much heat. This light is going to produce more heat due to the electronics built into the light so the heat sink was a great design idea. The remote control for the light is also solidly built and has some great features such as color jump, color fade, and even custom buttons to set your own designed colors. The light uses very little power and compares close to 75 watt bulb. As for the manufacturer...Coidak is a great company to buy products from. They have great service and their products are very good quality.


This light bulb is fun, just good plain fun. And of course, a remote makes everything better, lol. Obviously, I am so pleased that I was afforded the opportunity to review Coidak's E27 12W 2.4G Wireless RGBW LED Light Color Changing Lamp Bulb AC 85-265V with Remote Controller RGB + White, in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. This product arrives nicely packed, as shown. When your light bulb arrives, you will need to pull the plastic tab out of the battery compartment.I was quite happy to replace one of my remaining compact fluorescents with this LED bulb. It is so much fore eco friendly, and cause cancer if it's broken, like the compact fluorescent. LEDs like this one last so much longer than regular bulbs do to. The remote operates beautifully. It is highly responsive. Make sure you turn the lamp on, when you place this bulb into it. There is an on, off, fade, light color buttons, and light action buttons on this remote. There are 7 distinct light colors on this bulb, including the white light. The light is clear. It fits into a standard size light bulb socket. It is not wide. I was able to put it into a lamp with a lampshade. It fits between the lamp shade bars just fine. The action can be a quick movement from one color to the next, to a pulsating fade, to a slow fade. I love the dimming feature. I'm sure that will be the most used in my home. All the actions work perfectly. This is a 12W bulb. It puts off a good amount of light. I have a thick shade on this particular lamp, and it still lights up the area really well. But, since there is a dimmer feature, I can have bright or low light easily. The white light is the bright white light. The yellow is the warm side of it, but a tad more yellow. With a shade on, it reminds me of candle light lighting. I like that. This is a fun, and great working light bulb. I can tell you, my younger son is finding this light bulb very entertaining, lol. It will be fun during the holiday months for sure.
