Materials
10 ½ x 12” card stockScorer
Double stick tape or glue Scissors
Closure option
Round Corner Punch (optional)Hole Puncher (optional)
6 Jumbo Eyelets (optional)21” Ribbon (optional)
Score the card stock on the 10 1/2” side at 2 ¾” on both the left and right side
Turn the card stock to the 12” side, score at 2”
Score at 5” to the 2 ¾” score line. Don’t score the center portion of the cardstock but resume scoring at the 2nd 2 ¾” score line (the center part of the card stock will be part of
the card base so you don’t want a score line appearing across the center)
Score again at 7”
With a scissors, cut at the 2 ¾” vertical score line to the 2” horizontal score line, cut off the piece. Repeat the step on the right side.
Starting at the 5” horizontal line, cut to the 2 ¾” score line and cut down the 2 ¾” score line to cut off a 2 ¾ x 7” piece.
Repeat the step on the right side of the card stock.
The photo shows how your card stock should appear after cutting off the pieces of card stock
Note****Apply double stick tape to the left and right side of the 2” lower flap of the card stock before following the next step (I’m sorry. . .I forgot to take a photo of this step).Fold the flap at the 2” horizontal score and adhere the flap to the card base to create a
pocket . . .as shown in the photo. (The scoring tool in the photo is just showing that there is a pocket. . .it’s difficult to see the pocket in the photo)
Fold the card base at the score line over the pocket.
Fold the left and right flap over the card base.
You may create your own closure. With this sample, here are the instructions:
Punch the corners of the 2 ¾” x 3” left and right flaps with a round corner punch and punch 3 holes vertically down the flaps with a hole puncher. Apply jumbo eyelets to the
holes as shown in the photo.
Insert a cocoa packet, treats, or card insert if desired.
Decorate the card base as desired
Fold the right and right flaps over the card base and thread the ribbon through the jumbo eyelets and tie a bow.
