Lehmann equip- ment was featured at Cocoa & Chocolate Days in Koog aan de Zaan (home of Duyvis Wiener) and Aalen F.B. Lehmann in recent months. During Choco Days at Royal Duyvis Wiener in Koog aan de Zaan in October, approximately 75 guests from several countries attended. A guided tour showed the complete QChoc line, a Wiener ball mill line with the newest liquid conching technology (CLC), as well as a F.B. Lehmann laboratory 2 + 5 roll refiner. Approximately 150 international customers were welcomed to the Cocoa & Choco Days at F.B. Lehmann in Aalen in mid-Novem- ber. Lehmann showcased the company’s latest developments in cocoa and choco- late. The program in Aalen included lectures about recent developments in batch nib roasting, powder grinding and chocolate processing. Batch nib roaster Barry Callebaut to acquire Cocoa Ingredients Division from Petra Barry Callebaut has reached an agree- ment with Petra Foods to acquire their Cocoa Ingredients Division. Petra Foods’ Cocoa Ingredients Divi- sion is the largest cocoa products sup- plier in Asia with a global sales volume of 265,000 metric tons, with sales revenue of US$1.3 billion (CHF 1.1 billion) and 1,700 employ- ees. The business has a global foot- print across four continents with 405,000 metric tons of bean-grinding capacity in seven processing facilities, and four sales offices.
