The Italian aperitif Aperol was born in Padua in 1919 and created by the Barbieri brothers. The original recipe has remained unchanged over time but it wasn't until the 1950s that Aperol Spritz became a popular alternative to the Venetian mix of white wine and soda.

Pinot Grigio, Campari, Soda WaterAccording to a popular Italian legend, the Bicicletta —“bicycle” in Italian—was named after the elderly men who swerved all over the road while riding home after a few afternoon drinks at the café. In traditional Aperitivo style, the cocktail mixes two of Italy’s favorite early evening refreshments. Campari adds delightfully bitter complexity to dry Italian white wine, while a splash of soda turns the combination into a refreshing spritz.

White Peach Purée or Raspberry Purée or Strawberry Purée

The Bellini was invented sometime between 1934 and 1948 by Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of Harry's Bar in Venice, Italy. He named the drink the Bellini because its unique pink colour reminded him the toga of a saint in a painting by 15th-century Venetian artist Giovanni Bellini. The drink started as a seasonal speciality at Harry's Bar. Later, it also became popular at the bar's New York counterpart. After an entrepreneurial Frenchman set up a business to ship fresh white peach purée to both locations, it became a year-round favourite.
