How can this drug affect a member of a Public Service
from doing their job?
Depending on the police force can depend on the punishment of police
officer. If the police officer only has a small amount of Cocaine on them
then they might only receive a caution which doesn't count as a conviction.
However it may be brought up in future court proceedings. However the
officer may have to appear before a Magistrates' Court and face a fine, suspended or short prison sentence.

What programmes are in place to help drug addicts?
The major and most common treatment for drug addicts is
rehab centres. These centre give out specialist treatment to
drug addicts such as medicine, tablets, medical advice or
support. These centres also allow drug addicts to socialize with other addicts who want to get off the drug. This could
encourage drug addicts to get off the drugs if they are doing
it with a friend.
