Createmorewalk/bikeconnectionstotheriverfrontfromtheLock,andprovidewayfinding.

Sendpeopleoutonloops(20minutewalkingtours;longertourswithothermodes;connectedloops).

Partnershipwithadjacentvenuesandorganizations(“salesteam”).

Rebrandtheriverforrecreationaluseinawaythatdoesn'tscareoffnovices.Bringthetouristsinandtheamenitieswillfollow;residentswillbenefit.“Package”theentireexperienceoftheriverinacompellingway.Theriverfrontshouldbeactivatedyear-round.Organizedactivities(e.g.withtheParkBoard)–morning/afternoon/night;1-hr/3-hr/half-fullday.More“branding”–umbrellabringingallthingstogether.Businesses&programmingpartnerscancontributetoriverfrontbrand.Nurturepublicprivaterelationships–Access+Commerce.“Spacesofinterchange”betweenlocalbusinessesandtheparks/river.Masterplan?


2) TheRiverfrontshouldbeaplacetohaveauthenticexperiencesofmanykinds:

sporty,cultural,night-out,sightseeing,familyfun,commuting,learning.

TheCentral&UpperRiverfrontshouldbeconceivedasastateprojecttiedtotheNationalPark&GreatRiverRoad.

Thereshouldbemorerestaurantsontheriverfront,andontheriver(foodbarges).
