The wonderful thing about coaching teams over a long period is getting time to work through a wider range of challenges and seeing them work through all the highs and lows. After the excitement of the “Agile honeymoon”, weeks roll into months and months into years. You may find maintaining momentum on learning and growth can be tough — especially when you’re there all the time. Once the initial novelty wears off and you risk become part of the furniture, it’s easy for a team to defer making changes and for a coach to lose their freshness and zest.
