Frequently Asked QuestionsWhy Rock Climbing? Rock Climbing is one of South Africa's fastest growing sports and it’s no big mystery why! For many, of all ages, who try rock climbing for the �rst time, the apparently simple act of climbing a wall provides a surprising wide variety of challenges. Climbing is a sport where boys and girls can compete on a level playing �eld as it perfectly balances grace and poise, with strength and agility. The challenge also involves problem solving and some co-ords! Climbing is an experience that everyone has something to gain and grow from. Big or small, your only opponent is yourself, and your ally is your determination. It is our dream for everyone to experience rock climbing and be hooked! This is why we have a portable climbing wall, and why it'll perfect for your event!

How many people can climb in a day, and what ages can climb? This depends largely on the demographics of the group climbing, but average climbing time per person is 2 minutess, and 3 people can be climbing at any given time. We have safety equipment for ages 3+. We �t full-body harnesses to young children, and adjustable waist harnesses for older kids through to even...ahem...‘big boned’ adults. The climbing grips are arranged to make it easy enough for kids, yet still test adults.

Where are your Mobile Climbing Walls available? We currently have Rock Climbing Walls in Johannesburg and Cape Town. We do travel if needed, so for promotions around South Africa, please contact us for a quote.

Can we play team games? Climbing games such as individual or relay speed climbing comps can be arranged. The Climbing Wall can be used as part of an obstacle course. Prizes/tickets can be rigged for participant collection at the top. Let us know what you plan to do and we’ll �t in.

This is a fundraiser, how can we make it pro�table? In the case of schools and religious or social events, a ticket system is suggested. Provided you have the feet, we can get them up and down the wall. Another option is to approach parents, members and local businesses for sponsorship. As the Climbing Wall is always the most visible and well attended stand, sponsors are often happy to run a promotion at the event, or brand the wall with their banners, and take advantage of the exposure. You sell tickets and keep 100% of the income.

How do I book a Mobile Climbing Wall?Fill in and email the attached Order Form to us. We’ll pop you an invoice for the 60% deposit, con�rm the booking by calendar, and con�rm the setup plan.

Mobile Climbing Walls setup and safety.Our Mobile Climbing Walls are 11m high x 1.5m wide, and require 10m2 �oor space for the four anchor points to be secured to the ground. Grass is the preferred surface for long ground pegs, but we can also set up on concrete or tar, indoors and outdoors depending on the site. Please notify us of where you intend having the wall up, ideally with some photos and we can advise how we will set up. Should you need an engineers sign o� for your event, please let us know and we’ll facilitate it. Do note though that it is not included in the rental. Extremely South African takes pride in maintaining a perfect safety record, and our climbing wall has with-stood, literally some of the harshest South African conditions all over the country. We do carry indemnies at the stand and can include your company on the disclaimer sheet.

WHEREAS

The Company and the Client have entered into an agreement in terms whereof the Company has allowed the Client to make use of its Mobile Rock Climbing wall on the terms and conditions as set forth in this agreement, which the parties desire to be recorded in writing

NOW THEREFORE IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS:

1. DISCLAIMERThe Client and any participants make use of the Company's facilities at entirely his/her own risk and agrees that the Company will not be held liable and/or responsible for any loss, injury, damages and/or compensation of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising as a result

thereof, irrespective of whether negligence or gross negligence exists on the part of the Company or any employee or third party, whether gross or otherwise, and the Client and any participant does hereby waive any claim it may have against the Company as a result

thereof. The Participant acknowledges that the activity in which he participates by its very nature carries inherent risks which could cause his/her to sustain bodily injury and/or suffer damages and waives any claim so arising against the Company or its employees or any

third party

3. MEDICAL FITNESSThe Participants are assumed to be medically fit so as to participate in activities of a physical nature, it not being the responsibility of the

Company to still have participants undergo any medical examination, the onus being on the Participant to make notice of such conditions. The Company shall not be required to have the Participant provide a medical certificate. The Company shall not be liable for

any claim or injury or loss or damages arising from or in connection with the agreement.

4. DELAYS OR CANCELLATION (weather and otherwise)Whilst every effort will be made to deliver the wall on time, Extremely South African will not be responsible or held liable should poor weather or any other factor, delay or cause the show to be cancelled. Should the show be postponed due to weather we will gladly

reschedule to another suitable date. If a show is cancelled by the client within one week of the event, 50% of the full fee will be retained by Extremely South African. Should poor weather occur after the wall is set up, the client will still be liable for the full payment as per the invoice. On out of Gauteng jobs, once Extremely South African has left Gauteng, the client will be liable for the full payment as

per the invoice. Claims of any Nature do not exonerate the client from payment when the relevant invoices fall due. Should the client default on payment for 30 days or more, the company reserves the right to levy an addition 5% per month outstanding,

and/or proceed with legal action, the cost of which shall be for the Client's account.

5. STRUCTURESome venues health and safety policy may require a structural certificate to be supplied on erection. The Company will gladly arrange for a structural engineer to attend the event and sign off the structure, however payment of the engineer is not included in the quoted price,

and the need for one should be communicated to the company within 2 weeks prior to the event.

6. GENERALThe clause headings to this agreement are for information purposes only and play no part in the interpretation of the context Reference
