Organic India

Increased consumption of fast food, lack of adequate exercise, sedentary lifestyle and air pollution have resulted in Indians increasingly falling prey to lifestyle-related ailments such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney and respiratory diseases, etc. Health and wellness are essential for a sustainable future and, in order to thrive, it is vital for societies to be physically and mentally healthy. Alternate therapy and beauty and fitness contribute significantly to the wellness industry in India.

The wellness industry has a market size of US$3.7 trillion representing more than 5% of global economic output. The Indian wellness industry was estimated at close to US$13.4 billion in 2014-15, and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of nearly 12% for the next 5 years.
