The ability to make right decisions is the virtue known as prudence and it is the foundation upon which all others are built. Whether an individual is courageous or reckless is determined by the ability to make the best judgment given a specific set of circumstances. The ability to make right decisions, therefore, governs all the other virtues. We can practice being prudent by seeking the advice and counsel of people we respect. Bouncing ideas off mentors in advance of a decision is a great practical way we can make better decisions. We can bring our deliberation to prayer. Placing the options before the Lord. Lastly, we must resist the temptation of paralysis and commit ourselves to a particular course of action. Prudence is at the heart of our ability to live a virtuous life. With three easy steps we can strive to be more virtuous each day. May God bless you.
La capacidad de tomar decisiones correc-tas es la virtud conocida como prudencia y es el fundamento sobre el cual se cons-truyen todos los demás. Si un individuo es valiente o imprudente está determi-nado por la capacidad de hacer el mejor juicio dado un conjunto específico de cir-cunstancias. La capacidad de tomar deci-siones correctas, por lo tanto, rige todas las demás virtudes. Podemos practicar ser prudentes buscando el consejo y el conse-jo de las personas que respetamos. Tomar en cuenta ideas de mentores antes de una decisión es una gran manera práctica de tomar mejores decisiones. Podemos lle-var nuestra deliberación a la oración. Po-ner las opciones ante el Señor. Por último, debemos resistir la tentación de la pará-lisis y comprometernos a un determina-do curso de acción. La prudencia está en el corazón de nuestra capacidad de vivir una vida virtuosa. Con tres sencillos pa-sos podemos esforzarnos por ser más vir-tuosos cada día. Que Dios te bendiga.

We are glad to share with you that the Hispanic community of Saint Joseph is coming very animatedly on the way of the V ENCUENTRO to vitalize the life of community and the evangelizing mission of the Diocese of Brooklyn.
