CNC successfully arranged two air-charters of Antonov 124 aircraft for urgent oilwell equipment from Singapore to
Turkmenistan in March 2013 for Petronas Carigali’s vendors.
Our partner at Turkmenistan, DGT Logistics arranged for the offloading of cargo from Antonov aircrafts to trailers for immediate
delivery to site which is approximately 70km away from airport.
Besides the cargo transported by AN124, there were another 120 tons of smaller equipment from various origins around US,
Europe & Asia, which where airfreighted using scheduled cargo freighters.
Through careful supervision and close coordination between all our partners, the cargoes were handed over smoothly to
consignee without any problems.

Vessel Part Charter – SAT-3 Diving System, to Derince – July 2013.
95.00 M/Ton Main Diving Module en-route to Pasir Gudang wharf. Lifting onto vessel was done by a 500 ton rated mobile crane.
Our satisfied operation chief, Mr. Hazar (2
nd from left) with cargo owners. Discharging at Derince, Turkey.
In July, we part-chartered a geared conventional vessel in to transport three (3) different consignment comprising Diving
Equipment, Pedestal Crane and Pressure Vessels for the same project. The total shipping volume was 2,110 freight tons with
the heaviest piece weighing 95.00 MT and of dimension L1450cm x W510cm x H563cm.
Due to the cargo height of the Saturation 3 Main Module, we decided to route the cargo from Malaysia to Derince in Turkey for
on-carriage using the Volga-Don Canal into the Caspian Seas. At Derince, GPLN member Bati Project took over the arrangement
of river transportation from Derince port to Turkmenbashi.
Another piece of Pressure Vessel was routed from Singapore by WWL RORO service to Derince in early August using its shorter
transit time in order to meet up with the arrival of the conventional vessel.
All the cargo was subsequently transshipped and loaded together on the same river vessel.
Our project manager was personally on-hand to supervise the discharging operations at Derince as well as to ensure that the
full consignment was loaded safely on river classed vessel.
At Turkmenbashi, our longtime partner DGT Logistics was entrusted to arrange offloading from river barge and transportation
to the jobsite at Kiyanli which is approximately 110 km away.
This demonstrates CNC’s capability in arranging complex multimodal transportation through network members.

Fuel Gas Treatment System from Lumut to Bintulu – June, 2013.
Lifting of electrical & telecom wires during road transport. 10 Hydraulic Multi-axle lines were used for the haul.
300 ton rated mobile crane lifting the FGTS onto barge. Cargo securing & hot works in progress.
CNC Freight Services Sdn. Bhd. handled on behalf of THLG member to arrange a door to port barge shipment of Fuel Gas
Treatment System from Lumut to Bintulu for the Malaysian LNG Train 9 project.
Work began with cargo haul ex. factory to Lumut private jetty which involved wire lifting and temporary disconnection of live
electrical wires. A 10-line Multi-axle trailer was used for the road transportation.
Upon arrival at Lumut private jetty, a 300 ton rated mobile crane was already mobilized to receive the cargo on truck. A final
check on the lifting gear setup & crane readiness was performed before CNC personnel gave the green light to begin with
loading.
To ensure lifting stability and ample reach to barge’s aft, cargo was hoisted via 4 point lifting system with the use of shipper’s
own spreader bar.
With previous experiences handling various breakbulk cargo sizes ex. Lumut, wire height obstructions and fixed obstacles
enroute to Lumut jetty are easily manageable. Having CNC personnel on-ground monitoring the physical movement from
factory until loaded onto barge, the operation was carried out successfully without any incident.
Cargo : 3 skids of Fuel Gas Deducing & Conditioning System
Port of Loading : Lumut, Perak
Port of Discharge : Bintulu, Sarawak

Flash Drain Drum from door KNM, Malacca to door Tofield, Canada – August, 2013.
Flash Drain Drum being positioned onto Multi Axle Trailer. Consignment arriving Tanjung Pelepas Port, Johor.
Port stevedores carefully hooking the vessel onto port quay crane. Flash Drain Drum was stowed underdeck and adequately lashed.
CNC Freight Services secured an order for door to door transportation of 2 units Amine Drain Drum and Hydrocarbon Drain
Drum (HDD) from Malaysia to Canada.
As there was a lack of conventional sailings to Canada, the oversized HDD has to be shipped separately to a different port of
discharge ie, Seattle in USA as a breakbulk cargo on a container vessel. The Amine Drum was shipped together with 12 nos.
Stand Pipes in 4x40’ Open-Top out of gauge through Vancouver BC. Both shipments took place in August, 2013.
The dimension of both vessels are as follows,
HDD Vessel : L 1110cm x W 366cm x H 408cm, Gross Weight: 56,247 kgs
Amine Vessel : L 769cm x W 214cm x H 251cm, Gross Weight: 10,317 kgs
We consulted at very early stage with GPLN member from Canada ie, Rhode & Liesenfield Canada Ltd. in order to ascertain
viability of the port to be used, route accessibility from seaport and road permits issue.
With advance planning and close coordination with R&L Canada, the breakbulk piece was delivered smoothly taking a total of
27 days from vessel departure date up to the jobsite. The road journey from Seattle port to Tofield, Alberta itself took 5 days.
For all the Open-top containers, R&L Canada arrange to strip the cargo at Vancouver and transported to consignee’s premises
as breakbulk.
Our Malaysian customer was extremely pleased with us and our Canadian agent on the timely delivery of their cargo.
