Certified nurse aides (CNAs) perform tasks under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. CNAs monitor
and record vital signs and perform personal care skills including bathing, dressing and toileting; assisting with
meals; transfers and ambulation; linen changes and room organization; and preventing safety issues by following facility
policies and procedures.
Certification: Students who successfully complete the CNA training are eligible to sit for the S.C. Nurse Aide Certification Exam administered by the NACES Plus Foundation, Inc. Upon
successfully passing the NNAAP testing, students are eligible to receive a TTC CNA lapel pin.
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Training Program $899
• Classroom studies are held at the Dorchester County QuickJobs Training Center, 5164 E. Jim Bilton Blvd. in St. George.
• For course code XNUR 501-DQ1: classroom studies are from Jan. 26-Feb. 25, meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.;
clinical training takes place in various locations in the field from Feb. 29-March 11 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:45 a.m.-3 p.m.
• For course code XNUR 501-DQ2: classroom studies are from April 27-May 18, meeting on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m.-4:30
p.m.; clinical training takes place in various locations in the field from May 20-June 3 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:45 a.m.-3 p.m.
