    FEATURED ARTISTS

Paul Baloche / www.leadworship.comPaul Baloche has written some of this generations most compelling worship songs. He states, Iverealized the value of creating personal worship times. Even though I teach worship, read about it,and sing about it, says Baloche. Its like prayer. We can talk about prayer, go to prayer seminars, but there comes a time where we need to just DO IT. We were created for His pleasure. We werecreated for relationship with the living God. Thats the reality. For Baloche, living in that reality hasinspired him to write some of the most powerful worship songs of this generation. As a bridge builderbetween traditional and contemporary worship, Baloche has literally put words in mouths of believersall over the world. The Dove award-winning artist has had his songs recorded by Michael W. Smith,Randy Travis, SonicFlood, John Tesh, and others. He currently has more than 10 songs on CCLIs top500 songs performed in churches.

Phil Keaggy / www.philkeaggy.comPhil Keaggy is perhaps one of the most admired guitarists in music today. His fans range from thosewho aspire just to be able to play Keaggys mistakes, to professional musicians who have beenstrongly influenced by his style. And in between are those who dont play guitar, yet find solace inhis beautifully penned lyrics and memorable melodies. Phils solo career has spanned more than 30

years, and has included over 50 solo albums, both vocal and instrumental, as well as 8 releases withhis band, Glass Harp. One of the most sought after studio guitarists, Phil also continues to sell outconcerts all over the United States, with his ever-changing style, ranging from rock-and-roll to fullyorchestrated instrumental compositions.

Todd Agnew / www.toddagnew.comTodd Agnew, an artist who has long challenged listeners to ask better questions, has found at leastsome of his needs fulfilled as of late: the need for companionship, family, roots and direction. But thatdoesnt mean Todd finds himself in a place of creative complacency, either. The perfect version ofme still has a deep need for God, Agnew says. Its the ongoing conversation we have with God:youre supposed to need me from the beginning. Need is not a bad thing; its something that tiesthis relationship together the correct way of me being God and you not. You really have to learn that

and think thats what I was made, how I was designed. And thats how this music was designed,as well. In short, Todd Agnew is taking care of his artistic need through NEED, his fourth album forArdent Records/INO.

Sandy Hoffman / www.EssentialWorship.comSandy Hoffman has been instructing and leading Christians in worship for over 24 years. Brentons current radio single, Adoration has been gaining momentum as anothercongregational favorite.

Audrey Assad / www.audreyassad.comIndividualistic. A free spirit. Untraditional. In junior high those labels are a death sentence. In adulthood, they usually describe people the rest of us wish we could be - creative, intriguing people like AudreyAssad. Truly one-of-a-kind, this intensely honest singer-songwriter is carving out her own unique path inthe music industry and opening hearts to God along the way. Audrey set aside the notion of pursuingan English degree or studying fashion design and began leading worship in the foyer of a church shedidnt even attend. Standing by her lifelong conviction to bloom where youre planted, she set out todo whatever God put in front of her that let her use her gifts. That led to local gigs, worship events anda four-song demo, recorded by a friend with Garage Band for several hundred dollars. Along the way,Audrey struck up friendships with 10th Avenue North and Phil LaRue. Next came a move to Nashvilleand a five-song EP, Fireflies, recorded in 2008 with LaRue and Paul Moak. It was that recording thatcaught the attention of the A&R department at Sparrow Records, but not before Audrey joined ChrisTomlin on his Christmas tour and album, covering her song Winter Snow as a duet.
