Programs for YouthMINDA youth-driven program about gender and sexual diversity relating to mental health

FRIENDS FOR LIFEA cognitive behavioural program to educate and provide tools for chil-dren ages 8 – 12 with feelings of fear, anxiety and depression

MY FRIENDS YOUTHA cognitive behavioural program designed for youth ages 13 – 16 to build resilience , self-esteem and develop both cognitive and emotional skills

HEAD STRONGAn endorsed program of the Mental Health Commission of Canada with the purpose of embedded contact-based anti-stigma education in the schools

Programs for Adults (parents, caregivers, singles…)LIVING LIFE TO THE FULL12 hours that can your life! Provides tools and strat-egies to oversome feelings such as isolation, grief, depression and will through a cognitive behav-ioural model teaches how to reverse the process of negative thinking and emotions to attain healthier relationships and rebuild a sense of happiness and accomplishment.

WOMEN & BUILDING RESILIENCY AROUND THE TABLEBased on a psycho-social model, this program is

10 hours that can change per-sonal perceptions of mental health and connectivity to self through tools that will foster health and well being in the daily occupations of LIFE.

Programs for ChildrenKIDS ON THE BLOCK & THE JELLY BEAN GANGWe offer free educational puppet shows to local schools, daycares and other organizations working with children. The shows cover mental health is-sues such as bullying, caring & sharing, and building self-esteem.

PLEASE LISTENPlease Listen groups are fun and interesting activities for children, ages 6-13, who are at risk of developing men-tal health problems. The groups are available to schools or any agency/group that helps kids. Au-tism/sibling groups are also available.

PLEASE LISTEN FOR CHILDREN LIVING WITH A PARENT WITH A MENTAL ILLNESS

Please Listen groups are fun and interesting ac-tivities for children, ages 6-13, who are living with a parent with a mental illness. The groups are available to schools or any agency/group that helps kids. Autism/sibling groups are also available.

We also offer requested presentations and interactive activities on mental health topics to schools and other organizations that deal with children.

Volunteer OpportunitiesGive the gift of yourself, your time and your effort, and discover the benefits of volunteering! Whether you can help out for 2 hours or 20 hours a week, the CMHA Kingston needs warm and caring people to assist with social/recreational pro-grams, festive gift programs and more.
