  1. 1. How to use ClusterDesktop Note: Before connecting to your computer, download and install ClusterDesktop for your operating system. For more information see Tutorials on how-to install/run ClusterDesktop. To start working remotely on your computer use one of the following methods VNC, RDP, SCP or noVNC connection, described in tutorials on How- to use ClusterDesktop: ClusterDesktop I. Audio and video streaming using VLC and FTP /with this method the file is streamed directly from your remote computer/
  2. 2. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop 1. To be able to transfer sound with ClusterDesktop, you need an ordinary audio cable /as the one on the picture/ 2. You should connect one end of this cable to the audio output port and the other to the microphone port /as shown on the picture/
  3. 3. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop Exsample: [email protected]:1031 4. Set up ConnectBot Install and run ConnectBot on device from which you are accessing your computer Type your Remote computer User Name, ClusterDesktop server and SCP port as shown in the picture below on it if closed / when the button is white the port is closed, and when the button is blue the port is open for one connection / 3. Check on your account if SCP port is open click once
  4. 4. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop Type your remote computer password and click Enter Click Yes
  5. 5. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop Click on Port Forwards Click on Add port forward
  6. 6. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop Set up as shown in the picture 1 On Nickname type: 58080 2. On Source port type: 58080 3. On Destination type: localhost:58080 4. Click Create port forward
  7. 7. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop Check Use VideoLAN VLC for streaming on next restart and click on Restart 5. Set up VLC on your remote computer. If your remote computer is Windows based - setup as shown in 5.1 and skip 5.2. If your remote computer is Linux or Mac based skip 5.1 and setup as shown in 5.2. 5.1 Windows based remote computer
  8. 8. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop Open VLC media player 1. Click on Media 2. Click on Open Capture Device 5.2 Linux or Mac based remote computer After the restart of ClusterDesktop, your remote computer will be ready and you can go to 6. to start streaming.
  9. 9. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop 1 Select Microphone (High Definition Aud) 2 Click as shown in the picture 3 Click on Stream Click Next
  10. 10. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop Set up as shown in the picture - Port: 58080 - Path: /pl.mpg Type stream and click Next
  11. 11. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop Select Audio-MP3 and click Next Check Stream all elementary streams
  12. 12. How to use ClusterDesktop ClusterDesktop Set up as shown in the picture 6. Start streaming Open VLC on the device from which you are accessing your computer and set up as shown in the picture /URL: http://localhost:58080/pl.mpg /
