JLT MSA CLUB OF THE YEAR AWARD 2018

This award highlights the fantastic motor sport activities held by motor clubs throughout the year. Now in its 26th year, previous award winners have provided opportunities for members to compete, volunteer and socialise, creating a close and friendly community. Any contribution to motor sport is worthy of being recognised, no matter how big or small. We want to hear from you about your achievements.

Some of the activities we suggest you may want to highlight and talk about are: • Working with other Clubs

(Examples include sharing best practice between clubs, co-promoting events, engaging with other regional organisations)

• Growing your Club(Examples include engaging with the local community, running taster events, promotingyour club and motor sport)

• Sustaining your Club(Examples include activities you organise for your existing members, attracting entries toevents, encouraging volunteer officials to support your events)

• Development of Volunteers and Officials(Both new and existing. Examples include how you encourage new volunteers to eventsand your club, arranging training opportunities)

• Delivering events(Both new and existing. Examples include running new events, improving existing events,how you run successful events)

• Club Promotion(Examples include promoting your club online, in the local community and within motor sport)

• As a Club, going above and beyond in your efforts

Nominations must be received by 23:59 on Monday 12th November 2018. Only nominations received by this deadline, and the information supplied on the nomination form, will be eligible to be considered by the Awards Panel. Please only submit one application; please do not submit both the online and paper form or multiple nominations for the same club. Nominated clubs will be contacted directly by the end of December.

The top three clubs will receive cash prizes (first place £1,500; second place £1,000; third place £500) and a commemorative trophy. All nominated clubs will receive a certificate in recognition of their continued role in supporting motor sport. The winning club will receive two invitations to the MSA Night of Champions to accept their award in person and celebrate their success with the wider motor sport community.
