Dr. Vanessa Paquette. BSc (Pharm), ACPR, PharmD Clinical Pharmacy Specialist– Maternal Fetal Medicine, Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of BC, Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services This presentation will discuss clinical pearls for the pharmacist caring for a pregnant patient in a non-obstetric area.

Dr. Colin Lee. BSc (Pharm), ACPR, PharmD, MSc Clinical Pharmacy Specialist– Antimicrobial Stewardship, Fraser Health The purpose of this presentation is to highlight and discuss the recent changes to the Clostridium difficile treatment practice guidelines. The focus will be on disease severity classification and treatment options.

Dr. Nadia Fairbairn. MD, FRCPC Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, UBC. Research Scientist, BC Centre on Substance Use, BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. St. Paul’s Hospital Addiction Medicine Consult Team Lead, Canada Addiction Medicine Research Fellowship Director The practical management of opioid use disorder will be discussed with a review of goals of therapy, treatment algorithms, therapeutic alternatives, therapy selection, dosing considerations, switching between agents, evidence and clinical pearls.
