memorable way. It’s about contributing to someone else’s life, not because you want something out of it, but because
that’s the person you want to be.
A patient is the most
important person in our hospital.
They are not an interruption to our work.
They are the purpose of it.
They are not an outsider in our
hospital. They are part of it.
We are not doing them a
favour by serving them.
They are doing us a favour by giving
us the opportunity to do so.
How might I already be
thinking or
deciding to
act differently as a result of
this workshop?
...is being emotionally present for people. It’s a powerful message of respect that
improves communication and strengthens relationships.
...means taking responsibility for how you respond to what life throws at you.
Once you are aware that your choice impacts everyone around you, you can
ask yourself, “Is my attitude helping my team or those who access my services?
