Cummins Westport Engine Architecture
Cummins Westport natural gas engines feature spark ignition with Stoichiometric / EGR combustion (SEGR)
This combustion technology was introduced in 2007 with the ISL G, the first heavy duty engine to meet the EPA 2010
standards (0.2 g/bhp-hr NOx, 0.1 g/bhp-hr PM)
SEGR Technology is capable of lower emissions, particularly NOx

– Interval is determined by hours, miles or time, which ever comes first
– For transit bus, the default interval is hours
– Set service intervals based on average fleet speed
Replace spark plugs and check ignition coils every 1500 hours.
– Ignition components and the overhead set have not been tested for operation beyond the distance limits given.
Perform Initial Overhead Valve adjustment at 1,000 hours
Check air intake every 250 hours, and use only OEM approved air filters
Daily - check/drain fuel filter and visually check coolant level

stations and add 390 new CNG tractors and terminal trucks and 50 liquefied natural
