BRAG BOOK
Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals Expansion Project | No. 330 | 16 August 2019
TOP QUALITY Thanks to everyone at Blacktown and
Mount Druitt who voted in the WSLHD
Quality awards this week.
We’re not biased (much), but our
hospitals have some great entries this
year, including the ODDS Project which
declared war on storeroom clutter and
waste. VOTE HERE
WORKING TOGETHER Women’s and Children’s Health are also getting ready to open their new clinical spaces on level 6, 7 and 8 of
Building A. Across the corridor from the patient units, spacious new activity based working area provides
contemporary space for non-clinical and support activities. Like Periop, they also completed their transition
program this week and are ready to move at the end of August.

Periop gets ready Hot on the heels of our CSSD opening,
Perioperative Services is getting ready to
move into the new building at the end of
August. This week, they completed the last
session in their transition to activity based
working. Meanwhile, training continued in
the operating theatres with staff perfecting
the use of the sophisticated digital camera
systems. Congratulations, team!

For those of you wondering about the new tree you can see on the level 8 terrace when you drive down Blacktown Road, it’s a magnolia grandiflora. Have a great weekend.
