What is ECCCO?
ECCCO is
• A series of workshops developed for teachers to prepare students for College and Career Readiness.
• The areas are Career Awareness, Career Development, Career Exploration, and Internships
Essential Principles of ECCO
• ECCO consists of four key components: Career Exploration Visits and workshops, College Visits and workshops, Career Development workshops, and the lnternships program.

• ECCO is designed as a program for students in the 10th and 11th grades, with options for including 9th and12th grades.
• ECCO is based on a "plan-do-reflect" model of Iearning:

• AII students should be offered the opportunity to participate in all ECCO components, including an internship
• For successful implementation, ECCO requires an academy-level teacher or other staff to serve as the ECCO coordinator.

Students are best prepared for internship success by participating in a full continuum of age-appropriate work-based learning experiences tied to classroom experiences;

Business partner involvement follows a similar continuum, working toward the internship, by progressively increasing their engagement over time.
Academies have often been on their own when it comes to planning for, implementing, and reflecting on student work-based learning experiences, often recreating tools and practices that other academies created long ago.

We also want to represent what actually WORKS in the field, with you, our network, so we incorporated cutting-edge tools sourced from the Advisory Board Leadership Council and Work-Based Learning Innovation Fellows.

Once ECCCO lessons identified, now time to look at WBL center to see what has been created.
Combine, current lessons, ECCCO lessons and resources with WBL center resources, then teach, then revise and improve
