Item 1: Bid Opening Date: CHANGE, date from May 8, 2014 to May 13, 2014. Bid opening time shall remain unchanged.

PROJECT MANUAL

Item 2: ADD Section 01200 Paragraph 1.7 ALTERNATES.

“1.7 ALTERNATES

A. Alternates quoted will be reviewed and accepted or rejected at Owner's option. Accepted Alternates will be identified in Owner-Contractor Agreement.

B. Coordinate related work and modify surrounding work.

C. Schedule of Alternates:

1. Alternate No. 1: Irrigation and Landscaping as shown on L1.1 and L3.2.

Add all work associated with the additional irrigation and landscaping as shown on the referenced drawings.


2. Alternate No.2: Delete masonry (stone) wainscot at South and East Elevations.

Delete all masonry (stone) wainscot and all associated

components at South and East Elevations. Extend pre-finished metal wall panels to 1 1/2” below finished floor elevation. Wainscot shall extend four feet onto South and East Elevations from North and West elevations at transitions.

3. Alternate No. 3: Delete ceramic floor tile in rooms A105ab,

A105ac, A107ab, A107ac and reduce height of ceramic wall tile in all toilet rooms from full height to 4’-0”height. Provide VCT flooring where ceramic floor tile is deleted. Delete all work associated with the ceramic floor tile in tile in rooms A105ab, A105ac, A107ab, A107ac and reduce height of ceramic wall tile in all toilet rooms from full height to 4’-0”height. Provide VCT flooring where ceramic floor tile is deleted.

4. Alternate No. 4: Delete concrete pavers as shown on Sheet L-3.3 and provide concrete paving per detail 3/C6.0. Delete all work associated with the concrete pavers as shown on Sheet L-3.3 and provide concrete paving per detail 3/C6.0.

SPECIFICATIONS

Item 3: ADD Specification SECTION 10005 MISCELLANEOUS SPECIALTIES. Reference attachment. Item 4: CLARIFICATION: SECTION 06410 CUSTOM CABINETS; Provide locks at all Upper wall cabinets and Teacher’s Cabinets only. Locks at all base cabinets shown on elevations shall be deleted.

PART 1 GENERAL

1.1 SUMMARY

A. Section includes miscellaneous specialty items as shown on the Drawings and specified herein.

1.2 RELATED WORK

A. Section 04810 – Unit Masonry Assemblies.

B. Section 09260 – Gypsum Board Assemblies.

C. Section 09510 – Acoustical Ceilings.

1.3 MEASUREMENTS

A. Verify all dimensions shown on Drawings by taking field measurement; proper fit and attachment of all parts is required.

1.4 ANCHORAGE

A. Furnish and install all anchorage devices required to install the item and its appurtenances complete. Provide anchorage in ample time when required to be built by other trades.

1.5 SUBMITTALS

A. Provide manufacturer’s data and installation instructions and details, including applicable dimensions.

PART 2 PRODUCTS

2.1 PROJECTION SCREENS

A. Draper Luma Model, Spring roller classroom projection screen, 72 inches x 60 inches, fiberglass matt white screen, grey finish or approved equal. Provide 6 inch wall brackets. One per classroom.

2.2 OVERHEAD PROJECTOR MOUNTING KITS

A. Peerless, Model CMJ 500 as manufactured by Peerless Industries, Inc.
