History of Rock

• Originated in the United States in the 1950s.

• Developed a different range of styles in the 60s, particularly in the US and UK.

• Heavily influenced by blues and country music.

• Musically it is centred around the electric guitar and usually in a band with bass guitar and drums.

Indie Rock

• Two Door Cinema Club are an indie rock band from Northern Ireland. They were formed in 2007.

• The band consists of Alex Trimble (vocals, rhythm guitar, beats, synths) Sam Halliday(lead guitar, backing vocals), and Kevin Baird (bass, backing vocals).

Hard Rock

• Alter Bridge are an American Hard Rock band from Orlando, Florida who formed in 2004.

• The line up consists of Myles Kennedy (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Mark Tremonti (lead guitar, backing vocals), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums, percussion).
