This beautiful ’56 is equally at home at a car show or driving down the road. James and Trish joined the DACC in 2005 and in those past 6 years have enjoyed the tri-five hobby in numerous ways including trips to the Lone Star conventions and showing in the club displays. Their ’56 was part of the DACC patriotic effort at the recent Ft Worth Motorama car show where their red and white Bel Air was part of the club’s red/white/blue Independence Day weekend display. Here are all the specs of this very nice Tri Five Chevy – * 17" Billet Specialty Wheels / Mounted on Nitto 450 tires - Front 215/50/17 - Rear 225/55/17

* 14" Billet Specialty steering wheel to match * 350/375 HP motor * 350 Transmission * 3.73 Rear end * 2" drop front/ 4" rear * Power disc front brakes/ Drum rear * Vintage Air Conditioning * 605 power steering * 3 core Desert Cooler radiator * Dual Stainless steel exhaust w/FlowMaster 40 series

COMMENTS REGARDING LONE STAR ‘29’ Lone Star ‘29’ was a hit, that is without question. Many of our members received praise from

attendees verbally at the show and the club received many words of thanks after the event in writing.

In an effort to share just SOME of these kind words of thanks with all of our members who

contributed to the event, below are just a few quotes the DACC received regarding Lone Star ‘29’.

We had a great time at the show and all the tours. The entire staff of DACC did a wonderful job. Thanks for the Long Distance Award. The whole trip was great, no damage to the ’55! Thanks again!

To the Members of the Dallas Area Classic Chevy Club: Let me congratulate you on one of the best shows that we have ever attended. I would like to complement you on every aspect of this show. Your show web sight with its updates was exceptional. The cost for rooms was excellent and what you got for your $50 entry fee was unbelievable from the tours on Friday to being fed three times to the drags and banquet. Every one was very helpful and friendly. We truly enjoyed you show and I can't say enough about all your efforts. This is the second of your Lone Stars shows that we have attended and I look forward to any you should do in the future. I also like the judged event because it gave any an opportunity to receive an award based on the quality of their car based on the point earned. Congratulations again,

Gary and Rita Nyland

What a show!!!!

The Dallas Area Classic Chevy

Club members did an outstanding

job on this event.

This is the first show my wife

truly enjoyed.

Having coordinated a couple of

these shows for our club in

Austin, I have some under-

standing of the magnitude of

work that everyone did in

squeezing all the activities

into one week-end.

Please pass on our personal

thanks to everyone involved.

GREAT TURNOUT FOR DACC TECH MEETING IN JUNE AT WILSON AUTO REPAIR!

WOW – what a great Tech Meeting we had in June thanks to the folks at WILSON AUTO REPAIR! A super turnout of club members and a well organized meeting by the guys at Wilson resulted in a wonderful get together for the club. Barry Wilson and his very talented staff put on demonstrations regarding auto electrical, tube bending/hoses and welding. One thing is for certain – having the right tool for the job and knowing how to use it goes along way to a first class job! And the guys at Wilson Auto can do some nice work! Likely the most popular part of the program (besides the food and door prizes) was the welding demonstrations. Here club members got their shot at doing some welding and like most things, it takes practice to do it right! Thanks to Barry and all the guys at the shop for having us. And remember Wilson Auto Repair when you need work done to your Classic Chevy, whether it’s a simple brake job or complete restoration!
