Welcome to this virtual walkthrough presentation for
CLASSCRAFT!

What Is Classcraft, you ask? ● Classcraft is an online tool for classroom
management● It uses experience points (XP) to motivate
students in their learning- makes it like a game!● Provides you with a step-by-step set up, as well
as challenges for you to familiarize yourself with the platform
● Classcraft has a free version available, so sign up and play around with it!
Classcraft allows YOU to decide how much you want to use it as a tool in the classroom! You can use it as little or as much as you want, whatever fits with your educational
philosophy!
STEPS TO CREATE YOUR CLASSROOM
- Choose your mode: Lite or Classic- NAME YOUR CLASS! - Grade and Subject?- Choose your category:
- General- PBIS- Social Emotional Learning
Lite Vs. Classic?!● In lite mode, Classcraft allows the teacher to use
different classroom management techniques (and they’re fun!)
● Classic mode allows more individuality for the students. Students get to create a character, and the teacher can create teams, create quests and more
Disclaimer: Classic Mode is a little more complex, so when in doubt, go with the Lite version first!

Random events are little brain breaks for your students. They vary from 30 second dance parties to doing the wave as a class!
The riders of Vay:RANDOM EVENTS!
The Makus Valley: Volume MEter
This tool allows teachers to control the volume of the classroom. The get experience points if they beat the meter!
Boss Battles!:Formative Review
This formative assessment allows students to show what they know and beat a boss at the same time!
The Wheel of Destiny: random Picker
Shrine Of the Ancients: Kudos
This tool, like it sounds, randomly picks students (or teams) for whatever the teacher wishes to use it for!
This tool allows the teacher to look at the kudos (kind words) that students write about each other!
These tools are not available in general mode, but available in the other versions (PBIS and Social Emotional Learning)
Student Side of Classcraft● Characters! Students can pick a character based
on their HP, powers, and choose their favorite!
Powers● Powers are given to students based on their character! Powers can
range from helping another student to gaining help on an assignment or a test. REMEMBER: you can create the powers (see settings), so you get to set the tone of your classroom
QUESTS● Quests allow teachers to create lesson plans into fun adventures! Each
quest check mark has a story tab to engage students, a task tab, and a rewards tab that shows what they get once the task/quest is completed!
● Teachers can make their own quests or download premade ones from other Classcraft teachers!
COMMUNICATION● Teachers can connect with their whole class through class
announcements, individual students through messages, as well as interacting with the parents!
Settings ● The class settings allows you to edit multiple aspects of classcraft:- XP given (and why the XP is given), powers, sentences, random events, game
rules● The settings of Classcraft allows you to create your classroom the way you
want to! You can start from scratch or use what is provided
Last Few TIPs!● CLasscraft walks you through setting up your classroom through tutorial
videos- so don’t feel overwhelmed! ● THERE’S A LOT!! So explore and use what you want● There is a premium version, so check with your school or district to see if
that would be an option● Make it your own● HAVE FUN WITH IT!
