As one of the nation’s first medical
schools, the Medical College of Georgia
at Augusta University has a long legacy of
training outstanding physicians. One in five
Georgia physicians have either attended MCG,
or completed their residency at MCG/AU Health.
The 230 students admitted into the 2019 entering
class are the latest individuals to join the MCG family.
These exceptional students were selected based on a
host of criteria including, but not limited to academic
metrics, intellectual curiosity, health care experience,
leadership, and service to others.
The talented individuals that comprise the Class of 2023 are as
diverse as the population they will one day serve and are reflective
of MCG’s core values of collegiality, compassion, excellence,
inclusivity, integrity and leadership.
