Ashlyn Koehn is the daughter of Stephanie and Todd Koehn. During high school, she was a member of the cheer squad and Science Club and competed in UIL academics. After high school, Ashley plans to attend the University of North Texas in Dallas and study communications.

Audrey Laney is the daughter of Randal and Stefanie Laney. During high school, she was a member of the Golden Wolves Band, the Interact Club, and participated in the Ride-Along program. After high school, Audrey plans to attend Sam Houston State University and study criminal justice.

Emma Katherine Latham is the daughter of Doug and Carol Lathem. During high school, she was a member of 4-H, FFA, student council, National Honor Society, and Rachel’s Challenge and played volleyball as a freshman. Emma was president of her class her freshman, sophomore and junior years and vice president of her class her senior year. She won multiple lamb and goat division championships at major livestock shows in Texas, and was 4-H club president and on the Bi-County Junior Livestock board. Emma is the salutatorian of the Class of 2021 and was named top student of her class both her freshman and junior years and was ranked second after her sophomore year. After high school, she plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in animal science/pre-vet, and will also be part of the McKnight Scholars Program.

Hayden Layman is the son of Michael and Shannon Layman. During high school, he played basketball and golf. Hayden graduated early in December 2020 and is currently attending the Flex Air Academy training to be a pilot.

Mattie Leaton is the daughter of KeriAnn and Jonathan Sullins. During high school, she played volleyball, softball and basketball and was a member of the Interact Club. Mattie is graduating in the top 10% of her class and was named

Academic All-State in both volleyball and softball. After high school, she plans to attend Florida Atlantic University and major in mathematics while completing the pre-med program.

Hali Ledbetter is the daughter of Stephanie Knight and Jarett Ledbetter. During high school, she competed in track and field and was a member of SUB-DEBS. Hali also graduated from Frank Phillips College with an associate’s degree in science before her high school graduation. After high school, she plans to attend the University of North Texas in Dallas and obtain a bachelor’s degree in biology.

Aniston Pate Lees is the daughter of Shannon and Ian Van Den Heever and Russell Lees. During high school, she was a member of the cheer squad, student council, National Honor Society, and Sigma Delta. Ani was president of the student council her senior year, president of Sigma Delta, and a leader of the DHS easy access hygiene project. She received the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, won a medal in the VASE competition, won the Most Outstanding Soprano award, and was a homecoming queen candidate. After high school, Ani plans to attend Belmont University’s School of Music in Nashville, Tennessee and plans to major in commercial music with an emphasis in performance vocals.

Brennan Lloyd is the son of Jeff and Shannon Lloyd. During high school, he was a member of the Gifted and Talented program, student council, and National Honor Society and played varsity football, basketball and baseball and competed in track and field. Brennan was named both First Team All-District and Second Team All-District as a quarterback in different years, is graduating in the top 10% of his class, was on the A Honor Roll, and won the Rotary Youth Leadership Award. After high school, he plans to attend Texas Tech University to obtain a degree in computer engineering.

Alejandra Long is the daughter of Melvin Long and Sandra Long. She received the Law Enforcement award while in high school. After high school, Alejandra plans to attend the University of New Mexico and major in criminology.

Juan Lugo, Jr. is the son of Juan and Alysha Lugo. During his time in high school, he played football and ran cross country and competed in Skills USA. Juan qualified for state in Skills USA twice, once in aviation and once in motor rebuilds. After high school, he plans to Wyotech and become certified in automotive technology and upholstery.

Magaly Lujan is the daughter of Sonia Cordova. During her time in high school, she played volleyball, softball and basketball. Magaly was named Academic All-District in volleyball both her junior and senior years. After high school, she plans to become certified as an EMT and then attend paramedic school.

Neely Maddox is the daughter of Scott and Staci Maddox. During high school, she was a student athletic trainer and manager of the boys’ basketball team and was a member of SUB-DEBS, Elevate Pink, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, student council and the National Honor Society. Neely won the Rotary Youth Leadership Award and was named Academic All-State in football as an athletic trainer. After high school, she plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in kinesiology and then go on to attend physical therapy school.

Janell Mares is the daughter of Jessica Harris and Jessie Fuentes. She played softball during high school. After high school, Janell plans to play softball for the Oklahoma Sooners.

Kaeona Marquez is the daughter of Mandi and Jason Cordova. During high school, she was a member of the Gifted and Talented program, student council, Interact Club, National Honor Society, Fellowship of

Christian Athletes, and FOR (Friends of Rachel) Club. Kaeona played basketball and softball and competed in track and field as well. She was the District 4-4A MVP in basketball her junior year and was named to the TGCA All-State team in basketball in both her junior and senior years. Kaeona was also named a Classroom Champion by the ABC-7 TV station in Amarillo. After high school, she plans to attend Howard Community College in Big Spring to play basketball and obtain her associate’s degree in science.

Trista Martinez is the daughter of Amy and Rudy Martinez. During high school, she was a member of SUB-DEBS and the Art Club and was on the cheer squad her senior year. Trista won the Art Jubilee Merit award as well. After high school, she plans to attend Texas Tech University and obtain a degree in public health.

Caryce Ann Martinez Guerrero is the

daughter of Alice Martinez and Paulino Guerrero. During high school, she was a member of the cheer squad, FOR (Friends of Rachel) Club, Rachel’s Challenge, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Ride-Along program. Caryce was also a member of the Science Club for two years, band for three years, and competed in Speech and Debate for two years. She played volleyball, basketball and softball and competed in powerlifting and track and field. Caryce was named First Team All-District in both volleyball and basketball, was Newcomer of the Year in District 4-4A in basketball her sophomore year, and Co-Defensive Player of the Year in District 4-4A in basketball her junior year. She was both a regional and state qualifier in powerlifting and a regional qualifier in track and won the Golden Glove award in softball. After high school, Caryce plans to attend Sterling College to play basketball and obtain a bachelor’s

degree in secondary education.

Caydence Martinez Guerrero is the son of Alice Martinez, Paulino Guerrero and Tim Encinias. During high school, he played baseball and was a member of welding program, and won an award for obtaining the most welding certifications his senior year.

Natalie Nayeli Martinez-Meza is the daughter of Martha Elena Meza and Benjamin Martinez Vega. During high school, she was a member of the Spanish Club. After high school, Natalie plans to enter the workforce and learn other languages and eventually go to college to study marketing or business.

Grant McGaugh is the son of Douglas and Joanna McGaugh. During high school, he played basketball and baseball and competed in UIL Academics, and is graduating as one of the top five students in his class. After high school, Grant plans to attend Texas Tech

University and study computer engineering.

Fernando Mercado Mayoral is the son of Maria Mercado and Salvador Mercado. After high school, he plans to move to Amarillo to work in construction or become a barber.

Claire Miller is the daughter of Trish and Mark Miller. During high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society, student council, cheer squad, Interact Club, FOR (Friends of Rachel) Club, and was a student ambassador. Claire also played varsity volleyball, basketball and tennis and competed on the FFA Vet-Tech team. She was Valedictorian of her senior class, was student council secretary her senior year, and was Academic All-State in volleyball her senior year as well. Claire won the Frank Phillips College Federal Government award, the Pre-AP Biology award, the Pre-AP English II award, the World History award, the Algebra II award, the World Geography

award, the Anatomy & Physiology award, the Economics award, and the Dual-Credit English award. After high school, she plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in animal science/pre-veterinary medicine.

Crescence Miller is the daughter of Chadd Miller, Canada Hernandez and Karla Green Veals. During high school, she was a member of the Golden Wolves Band and the Science Club and was a student athletic trainer and competed in the shot put and discus in track and field. Crescence was named Academic All-State as an athletic trainer in football her senior year. After high school, she plans to attend Frank Phillips College and obtain her associate’s degree and then transfer to West Texas A&M University for a bachelor’s in kinesiology.

Morgan Mitchell is the son of Moni Haaland and James Mitchell. During high school, he placed second in poultry judging. After high school, Morgan

plans to obtain his welding license.

William Wayne Moore is the son of Justin Moore and Tami Moore. During high school, he was a member of the National Honor Society, student council and Interact Club and played football, basketball, tennis and baseball and competed in track and field. Will was student council vice president his senior year and was named Academic All-State and All-State in football, and was also First Team All-District as a running back, First Team All-District as a linebacker twice, and All-District in basketball twice. After high school, he plans to attend Texas Tech University and obtain a degree in business management.

Angel Mora is the son of Alfred Rodriguez and Alejandra Mora. During high school, he was a member of the Golden Wolves Band and ran cross country. Angel was named the Most Valuable Runner in cross country his freshman and sophomore years and

Dalhart High School Graduateswas a regional qualifier in cross country all four years, and won the Fighting Heart award in cross country his senior year. After high school, he plans to take his basics at Frank Phillips College.

Garrard Morgan is the son of Catherine Morgan. During high school, he was a member of the FFA and competed in the One Act Play. Garrard was part of a cast that advanced to Bi-District in the One Act Play and was named Honorable Mention All-Star Cast. After high school, he plans to attend South Plains College for two years and then transfer to Texas Tech University.

John Caden Nials is the son of John and Regina Nials. During high school, he was a member of the National Honor Society and the FFA. John was awarded the Greenhand FFA Degree and the Chapter Farmer Degree while he was in the FFA. After high school, he plans to attend Texas Tech University and study animal science with an emphasis in physical therapy.

Connor Nicholson is the son of Dennis and Bridgett Nicholson. During high school, he was a member of the student council, FFA, 4-H, and played basketball and showed animals at various livestock shows. Connor was the 2020 San Antonio Calf Scramble winner and a state qualifier in poultry judging. After high school, he plans to enter the workforce and may also attend Tulsa Welding School.

Jessica Nolt is the daughter of Scott and Karen Nolt. During high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and the FFA. Jessica is graduating in the top 10% of her class and was awarded the Lonestar FFA Degree, Greenhand Degree, and Chapter Farmer Degree. After high school, she plans to attend Iowa State University and major in agricultural business management.

Karla Orrantia Anaya is the daughter of Araceli and Ubaldo Orrantia. During high school, she was a member of the Spanish Club. After high school,

Karla plans to attend Amarillo College for their nursing program and become an RN.

Enith Ortega is the daughter of Blanca Ortega and Saul Perea. During high school, she was a member of the Science Club, Spanish Club, Golden Wolves Band, and competed in Skills USA and was the manager of the soccer club. After high school, she plans to attend the University of New Mexico to obtain a bachelor’s degree in educational linguistics.

Leslle Ortiz Montes is the daughter of Myriam Montes and Fermin Ortiz. During high school, she was a member of the Spanish Club. After high school, Leslle plans to move to San Antonio to go to college.

R.J. Pedraza is the son of Tanya and Rudy Pedraza. During high school, he played football and was a member of the welding program. R.J. was named All-District in football as well. After high school, he plans to attend South Plains College.

Joshua Petties is the

son of Tanya Duenez. During high school, he played both football and baseball all four years. After high school, Joshua plans to go to college and study engineering.

Cole Porter is the son of Tim Porter and Jenifer Garcia. During high school, he was a member of the Ride-Along program. After high school, he plans to enter the workforce, possibly at Hilmar.

Taylor Przilas is the son of Jennifer Przilas and Doug Przilas. During high school, he played football and basketball and competed in track and field, and was a member of the welding program. Taylor was named Second Team All-District on defense his freshman, sophomore and junior years and was named First Team All-District on defense and Second Team All-District on offense his senior year. He also won the Accounting award. After high school, Taylor plans to attend Tulsa Welding School.

Dayton Qualls is the son of Shannon and Dewayne Qualls. After

high school, he plans to attend South Plains College to obtain a business degree.

Christian Quiroz is the son of Alex and Lori Quiroz. During high school, he played football and baseball and was a member of the Spanish Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the FOR (Friends of Rachel) Club. Christian was on the A/B Honor Roll and was a member of three Bi-District champion football teams. After high school, he plans to attend Frank Phillips College to obtain a welding certificate.

Parker Ralston is the son of Sarah Ralston and Wes Ralston. During high school, he was a member of the FFA and the Elevate program. Parker received several awards in FFA and also received some academic awards during high school. After high school, he will join the United States Marine Corp, in which he has already enlisted.

Kyra Ritter is the daughter of Pasha Ritter and Bobby Ritter. During high school, she was a

member of the Gifted and Talented program and was president of the Art Club. Kyra is graduating third in her class and has already graduated from Frank Phillips College with an associate’s degree. After high school, she plans to attend West Texas A&M University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in biology.

McKenzie Ritter is the daughter of Amber Renteria and Phillip Ritter. During high school, she was a member of the Golden Wolves Band. After high school, McKenzie plans to get her basics at Amarillo College first and then transfer to West Texas A&M University to obtain a degree in criminal justice and a certification in sonography.

Blane Robbins is the son of T.J. Robbins and Amber Hays. During high school, he was a member of the National Honor Society, student council and FFA and played football and baseball. Blane was named Academic All-State in football, won first place in wool judging at the Levelland Invitational, and was Grand

Champion at the Fort Worth Livestock Show in the Ag Mechanics show. After high school, he plans to attend West Texas A&M University and major in animal science.

Daniel Robles is the son of Miguel and Maria Robles. After high school, he plans to attend Tulsa Welding School.

Alejandro Rodriguez is the son of Maria Hernandez and Jorge Rodriguez. During high school, he was a member of the welding program and the soccer club. After high school, Alejandro plans to join the U.S. Marines.

Alexa Rojas is the daughter of Judy Arguello and Reuben Rojas. During high school, she was a member of the Art Club and

was named Student of the Month. After high school, Alexa plans to attend West Texas A&M University and eventually become a licensed physical therapist.

Cinthia Romero-Rubio is the daughter of Isabel Romero and Ricardo Romero. During high school, she was a member of the Golden Wolves Band, the soccer club, culinary arts program and competed in UIL robotics. After high school, Cinthia plans to enter the workforce by working at the jail for about a year and then attend South Plains College.

Alejandra Ruiz is the daughter of Anita Ruiz and Robert Ruiz. During high school, she was a member of the Art Club and was named

Top Artist and was a medalist and state qualifier in the VASE competition. After high school, Alejandra plans to join the workforce.

Michael Ruiz is the son of Linda and Freedie Ruiz. During high school, he played baseball. After high school, Michael plans to work as a farmer and attend Frank Phillips College for welding classes.

Jennifer Ruiz Herrera is the daughter of Alma Herrera and Gabriel Ruiz. During high school, she played softball and was a member of the Golden Wolves Band and the soccer club. Jennifer was presented a D-Force award for helping to create the signs that the football team ran through before every home and every road

football game. After high school, she plans to work in the nursing home and attend nursing school at the same time.

Valerie Salas is the daughter of Nicolas and Connie Salas. During high school, she was a member of the Art Club, Drama Club, Interact Club, St. Anthony’s youth group, and the Ride-Along program and competed in the One Act Play, Skills USA, and speech and debate. Valerie was a regional medalist in the VASE competition in 2020 and twice in 2021, won the Art Jubilee Merit Award in both 2019 and 2021, and was named Honorable Mention All-Star Cast at the Bi-District One Act Play competition in 2019. After high school, she plans to

attend West Texas A&M University and obtain a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Mitzi Saucedo is the daughter of Tanis and Sandra Saucedo. During high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society, student council, Interact Club and CNA program and competed in Skills USA and the One Act Play. After high school, Mitzi plans to attend Tarleton State University and obtain a degree in nursing.

Rachel Ann Schwartz is the daughter of Hugh and Sherril Schwartz. During high school, she was a member of the student council and competed in tennis, archery, hunting and fishing. Rachel was part of a tennis doubles’ team

that won first place in the consolation bracket, and won first place in the Dalhart Jamboree 3D Archery Shoot. She placed second in the NRA Whittington Center 3D Archery Shoot and placed second in the JNC Archery Shoot and placed third in the South Plains 3D Archery Shoot. Rachel also won the Biology award, Accounting I award, Money Matters award, Financial Math award and Dual-Credit Psychology award for hard work, dedication and academic achievements. After high school, she plans to attend the University of Texas at Arlington to study biomedical engineering.

Cooper Sherrill is the son of Randy and Lori Sherrill. During high school, he played football for four years

and was a member of the FFA and competed in ag mechanics. Cooper was named All-District as a defensive end and was Grand Champion at the Fort Worth Livestock Show in the Ag Mechanics show. After high school, he plans to attend Western Welding Academy in Gillette, Wyoming.

Pedro Soto Hernandez is the son of Enriqueta Hernandez. During high school, he was a member of the soccer club and competed in Skills USA, and was a state qualifier in Skills USA. Pedro also was named the Soccer MVP his senior year. After high school, he plans to attend Tulsa Welding School and then Wyotech.

Kaycee Stoddard is the daughter of Christal and Wes Stoddard. During high school, she took part in choir, art, theater, technical theater and the JROTC. After high school, Kaycee plans to go to college for culinary arts, pet tech and nursing.

Gannon Swecker is the son of Lindsi and

Gary Swecker. During high school, he played football. Gannon was named First Team All-District his junior year and Second Team All-District his senior year, and was also named Academic All-State in football his senior year. After high school, he plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in agriculture business.

Claudia Taylor is the daughter of Travis and Laura Taylor. During high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society, FFA and 4-H. Claudia was awarded the Texas FFA Lonestar Degree and won the Texas 4-H Gold Star and the Danforth “I Dare You” Award. After high school, she plans to attend Texas Tech University and obtain a degree in ag business.

Anthony Torres is the son of Raul Torres and Jennifer Hale. During high school, he played baseball all four years. After high school, Anthony plans to join the workforce.

Hailey Ugarte is the daughter of Leticia

Ugarte and the sister of Luis Ugarte. After high school, she plans to study cosmetology.

Cristina Valencia is the daughter of Sandra and Angel Valencia. During high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society, student council, SUB-DEBS, and competed in track and field. Cristina was a Frank Phillips College honor student. After high school, she plans to attend the University of Houston and major in biology and eventually pursue a career in the dental field.

Zack Van Beek is the son of Jon and Gayle Van Beek. During high school, he played baseball and was a member of the FFA, and he was awarded the Texas FFA Lonestar Degree. After high school, Zack plans to attend West Texas A&M University and study ag business and economics.

Kassandra Villagomez Martinez is the daughter of Xochilt and Jesus Villagomez. During high school,

the was a member of the Science Club and soccer club and played softball and competed in Skills USA. After high school, Kassandra plans to attend Frank Phillips College for the first two years and then transfer to West Texas A&M University.

John Walls is the son of Sheila Wallace and Glenn Wallace. During high school, he was a member of the Golden Wolves Band and the STEM program for math and science and competed in UIL Science. John won a Perfect Attendance award, an award for best art painting, and was named Most Improved Percussion Player. After high school, he plans to attend Santa Rosa Jr. College in California and study computer science.

Rebecca Walls is the daughter of Sheila Wallace and Glenn Wallace. During high school, she was a member of choir, the Art Club, Theater Arts, and was a teaching aide at the elementary school. Rebecca was named Most Improved

Soprano in 2018 and won the Geometry award in 2017. After high school, she plans to attend Angelo State University and obtain a bachelor’s degree in social work.

Ethan Wilkerson is the son of Todd Wilkerson and Krista Albrecht. During high school, he was a member of the FFA and played football and competed in One Act Play. Ethan won four All-Star Cast awards and three Honorable Mention All-Star cast awards in One Act Play during high school. After high school, he plans to attend South Plains College and study theatre.

Radley Wilkinson is the son of Dana Wilkinson. During high school, he was a member of the Golden Wolves Band. After high school, Radley plans to enter the workforce.

Edson Xon Gonzalez is the son of Mario Xon and Petrona Gonzalez Hernandez. During high school, he played football and ran cross country and was a member of the

soccer club. After high school, Edson plans to continue working at JBS and hopes to become a supervisor and eventually buy a house.

Sean Young is the son of Jason Young and Priscilla Garcia. During high school, he played baseball and competed in One Act Play and helped with the Snack Shack program. After high school, Sean plans to attend trade school at Mesalands Community College as part of the wind tech program.

Amisadai Zendejas Gonzales is the daughter of Somar and Fidela Zendejas. During high school, she was a member of the Art Club, culinary arts program and the FOR (Friends of Rachel) Club. Amisadai won a regional medal in the VASE competition. After high school, she plans to attend West Texas A&M University and major in criminal justice.
