WHAT TO WEAR

Be Yourself:

Casual Dressy:

You can bring an unlimited number of outfits. I suggest bringing one of each of the following.

Some tips from the experts.

This outfit looks like something you’d wear to school or out with friends. It’s usually apair of jeans and a nice shirt (t-shirt, poloshirt, tank top)

Your Senior Pictures are all about you. They’re about capturing this important snapshopin time to look back on for years down the road. They’re how your classmates willremember you when skimming through their yearbook in 10 years. So when you’repicking your location, oufits or props, remember, this is about you. Don’t wearsomething that you’re not comfortable in and even more so, where something thatyou feel confident in.

Maybe this is your letterman jacket or jersey, maybe it’s a t-shirt from your favoriteband or a club you belong to. Feel free to also bring props to compliment this outfit.

For this outfit, step it up a notch. Wear a sundress or a dress shirt. Maybe pair your favorite jeans with a nice sweater.

You can go black tie for this, or maybe a cute maxi dress with a jacket over it. Girlscan also wear their prom dress or another formal dress you love.

What to Expect

Props

Accessories can give your outfit character and can take a photo from great to wow. They are especially important when your outfits are simple, like jeans and a tank top. Accessories can include hats, scarves, jewelry, vests, belts and shoes. I suggest picking a color pallette and rolling with it.

For most of you, this will be your first photo session where the entire focus is on you. It is super fun but can also be nerve racking. But don’t worry, I do this all the time and I’m here to help. I’m going to pose you but I also want you to laugh and play. Please feel free to bring along your bff to make you life and smile. Maybe I’ll evenget a few photos of the two of you together. I love capturing the real you, and this includes real laughing and geniune smiles. Best friends are great for that.

Props can add a ton of personality to your session. Feel free to bring your class ring, letterman jacket, sports equipment or favorite book to your session. You can also bring your pets if the location allows it.

Ladies, when applying make up for your shoot, where just a little bit more make up than you normally would, it looks great in photos. Make sure not to try out a new hair style or make up on the day of your session and don’t tan for at least 5 days (burns don’t photograph well). Also, a manicure or fresh layer of polish is a great idea, even if it’s clear.
