Instructor Bob Campbell
Summary This class will introduce students to various types of leather and methods of
construction.
Course Details Topics will include tooling carving and stamping, lacing, stitching and braiding, fasteners,
finish and colour. Projects choice include a change purse, wallet and belt, and other
large projects are also available.
Instructor bio Bob Campbell works in clay; leather and metal. Bob has a studio in the Pier 21 Arts
Annex and some of his work can be seen at bobcampbellstudios.com. He is a juried
member of the NS Designer Craft Council; has participated in many craft markets, and
exhibits regularly in various galleries. A graduate of NSCAD in ceramics, he studied with
Alice Hagen, Homer Lord, and Walter Ostrom. Recent notable commissions include a
leather presentation from Parks Canada for Prince William and Kate, and a leather
binder for the captain of HMCS Halifax.
