Class Information: 9yrs and Over Please note the following: To participate in a jazz class (for ages 9yrs and over) students need to also be attending at least 1 ballet class per week To participate in 10yrs performance ballet/modern, 12yrs performance ballet/modern, 14yrs performance ballet/modern, and open performance ballet/modern, students must do a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week To participate in an RAD ballet exam, students must do a minimum of 2 grade ballet classes per week. Students who wish to do a ballet exam will be required to attend holiday rehearsals at the end of term 2 for exam work. Rehearsals (and ballet exams) are held at our studio here in Orange J Students aged 9-12yrs are able to enrol in Musical Theatre, Tap, and/or Arco without being required to also attend a weekly ballet class Ballet Classes Ballet classes are based on the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus (RAD) delivered by Registered RAD Teachers. Principal of Colour City Dance, Suzanne Duffy, is a registered Teacher of the RAD, as well as an RAD Teacher Mentor. Miss Suzanne teaches most ballet classes or oversees them (other ballet teachers are currently working towards the RAD Teachers Program). RAD Ballet Class options: Grade 2 Ballet (9yrs) Grade 3 Ballet (10yrs) Grade 4 Ballet (11yrs) Grade 5 Ballet (12yrs) Grade 6 Ballet (13yrs and Over) Grade 7 Ballet/Repertoire Syllabus Class (13yrs and Over) * exciting new class for 2018!
