City Manager’s Report: Next meeting will have items for solid waste rates and the possibility of going to all 90 yard residential containers as well as more information re: electric rate changes. The City has ordered and received 1,000 glasses for the view-ing of the solar eclipse

and will begin giving them out at the Whistle Stop on August 5th. Budget workshops will be needed soon so everyone was to look at their calendars for the first of August. Street Department is doing chip and seal this week and will be cleaning up alley aprons after that. Planning Commission acted on two more applications for truck parking. Chief Aikens reported on the July 16, 2017 Police Auction at the Police Department parking lot.

Council Comments: Council Member Gallaway congratulated Bass Pro and that he looks forward to working with them. Mayor Arterburn is hoping for the best for Bass Pro.
