Cesar MillanLessons From A Pack Leader

With an Emmy-nominated show on National Geographic Channel, a best-selling book, and sold-out seminars, Cesar Millan continues to add accolades to a career spanning more than 20 years, as one of the most sought-after experts in dog psychology. From timid Great Danes to bullying Chihuahuas to “last chance” mixed-breeds, this “Dr. Phil for dogs” is renowned for his uncanny ability to communicate with canines and see the world through their eyes.

Cesar’s unique “Power of the Pack” methodology comes from his keen understanding of canine pack behavior. While most dog trainers relate to one animal at a time, Cesar often uses the pack itself—the natural social unit for canines—to rehabilitate a wayward dog. He demonstrates this with his own pack of up to 50 dogs, including rescued Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, and German Shepherds that are able to live together harmoniously.

Cesar first captured the national spotlight when his National Geographic Channel (NGC) series Dog Whisperer premiered in 2004. Now in its fourth season, the show was nominated for a 2006 Emmy® Award for “Outstanding Reality Program.”

In the Spring of 2005, he published Cesar’s Way (Harmony Books, 2006), which topped The New York Times bestseller list.

Cesar lives in Los Angeles with his family—wife Ilusion, and sons, Cesar and Calvin—all of whom help him in his work.
