ADVENTURES IN CHEMISTRY STUDY ABROAD: Student, Rome, Florence, Venice, Sora, Milan, Italy, January 2016 Accepted as one of fifteen students to travel five cities of Italy under the guidance of two professors while studying the chemistry

of food and wine. Immersed myself in the Italian culture by staying in hostels, hotels, and a host family.

RELATED EXPERIENCE

ELB CONSULTING (Private Nutrition-Consulting firm) Intern, Lake Zurich, IL, Summer 2016 Planned two health-based presentations for Lake Zurich Township and co-presented the information on disease prevention and

health promotion. Co-hosted a meet and greet booth at a marathon forum to recruit new potential clients and advise runners participating in the

2016 Chicago Marathon. Co-developed meal plans for patients based on their lifestyle, nutritional needs, financial abilities, and willingness to comply. Updated and re-formatted company website to make it more user friendly for clients.

RUSH UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER: Intern, nutrition department, Chicago, IL, Summer 2016 Administered patient surveys and measured their satisfaction with the hospital, staff members, and overall experience. I then

reported this information to senior level dietitians and worked with them to create plans for higher patient happiness. Collected and organized department data over the past 10 years on their EPIC system and analyzed for accuracy.

MIAMI UNIVERSITY CALL CENTER: Student Caller, Fall 2014 Communicated with alumni and parents of Miami University to inform them of the goings on at Miami and encourage their

highest available level of support. Helped prospective donors plan their gifts to the university, furthering Miami’s mission.

OXFORD PHYSICAL THERAPY: Volunteer and shadow, Oxford, OH, Fall 2013 Shadowed the two head physical therapists at Oxford Physical Therapy Clinic. Assisted patients and demonstrated how to properly complete assigned exercises.

VOLUNTEER & COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE

KAPPA ALPHA THETA: Active member (2014-present) Member of the Executive Recruitment Board and trained with four other members to plan the second round of recruitment. Member of the philanthropy committee in which we planned two main events throughout the year and coordinated with our

chapter and entire community to raise money for CASA, our designated charity. Member of the ritual committee in which I co-organized pledge pinning for 60 girls and ensured that it ran smoothly and in a

timely manner.

STUDENT ACADEMY OF NUTRITION AND DIETETICS: Active member (2013-present) Appointed as a mentor to freshmen and sophomores and was paired up with one student in particular to guide her through her

first year. Participated in 6 semi-annual nutrition conferences by attending and aiding in the preparation and success of events.
