I’m kind of used to the oddness because we’re so different in every way. It’ll be weird, though, when basketball season starts, because we both play for our schools’ teams—rival schools, not to mention.”  Benjamin Howell (9). For Adriano and Andres Aguayo (9), following their different dreams could be the very thing that separated them. “I would like to move away from Kentucky and go to Tampico, Mexico or to Miami or something,” Adriano said. Once he moved, Adriano wanted to join either the police force or the Air Force as a ghter pilot. On the contrary, Andres aimed for a completely different job eld. “I want to be a caricature artist,” Andres said. “Different people have different dreams,” Adriano said. “Back in kindergarten, your punishment for being bad was to ip your card. At the end of each day, your card color would be recorded in your agenda for your parents could see. However one time, Mark wouldn’t stop talking and got his card ipped. That same day he started a crayon ght during nap-time, and convinced everyone to eat a piece of Play-Doh during play time resulting in his card being ipped to red, which is the worst color. As our kindergarten teacher circled the room marking in the class’ agendas, Mark pulled up a seat beside me. I passed her my agenda, and Mark handed her his. We both said thank you when she gave it back, and went home. When we showed our agendas to our mom, she looked at me and started raging. I caught a glance at my agenda, and saw that the teacher wrote a long note telling my mom how bad I was that day—confusing me with Mark.”  —Michael Elder (11) Mark&Michael Elder Jasmine and Taylor Browning (11) grew up with many similaritie s anddifferences. “Jasmine and I have always been different because we were separated in kindergarten and were forced to develop our own personalities,”Taylorsaid. Taylor&Jasmine Browning T WINS OF MANUAL Madison&Mackenzie Ferriell On the other hand you have Madison, who would rather relax and watch a movie or snuggle up with a blanket and a good book. “I like staying at home and sort of going with what happens,” Madison said. “She’s denitely more relaxed,” Mackenzie said. On one hand there was Mackenzie (10) who kept a hectic schedule with involvement in a number of activities. Mackenzie’s favorite thing to do was play a erce game of volleyball. “I always have to be on the go and busy, or else I’ll go insane,” Mackenzie said. [  t  w  i  n+  w o  r  k  ]  T  W O  R  K I dentical twins working at the same place was something most wouldn’t expect, but it is normal for Kristen and Cassidy Hale (12). “We had both been wanting a job for a while, and Little Caesars was the only place that hired at 15, so we both applied and got the job,” Cassidy said. After two and a half years the twins were still working together, and they were always able to balance the relationships of sister and co-worker. “We have our little arguments from time to time, but we know to keep it professional since it is a work setting,” Kristen said. Both of them tend to work the front together. “I just wish they would schedule us for different days every once in awhile because they always give us the same shifts,” Cassidy said. Customers often come in and get confused. “On some occasions customers would ask if we were twins and we would tell them no that we were just friends or that we were cousins and had them completely believe us. It’s interesting to see the number of people who will believe that,” Kristen said. “It’s pretty cool having a job with her. Our co-workers think it is pretty cool that we are twins and they have a lot of trouble telling us apart. They are getting better at telling us apart though,” Cassidy said.
