Ckv 1000 words assignment

We had to make a report about what we learned and did this year during our culture classes.Lets start with my teacher , his name is Barry van Druten and of course we had our little fights now and then but in the end I think he is pretty good teacher. How he always makes jokes which no one finds funny and all kind of other things that makes him a boring teacher now and then but his teaching skills are about average if you compare it with the other teachers and that’s what counts.

He learned me to write a proper report and how to divide the working time on a report in a time schedule. Also he learned me not to stall things until the very end… which happened allot. And even in the end he helped me to get my grades up.But now we have to make a report about what we experienced this year at his classes but I cannot think about things I experienced because we did not do very much during his classes.

But , nevertheless I have to fill the 1000 words and of course we did some things like that one lesson that everyone had to find a drawing and he or she had to stand in front of the class and TELL them what the drawing looked like. And then we had to draw it , it was one of the exercises which I found very interesting. The lesson after that we had to go outside and draw something we saw in a 2 perspective drawing. Shaquell and I worked on a painting about the flat which is almost right next to our school. I did not really go as well as we planed but in the end the end result was pretty good.When we were done we watched what kind of drawing other people had and some of them were really ugly but that of course is my own opinion, but the drawing of Taiwei really looked amazing. He wants to be an architect later and he likes to draw so I did not expect les from him but still , his drawing amazed me.

A visual presentation was also something everyone had to do, I did my one about a monument in Spijkenisse because my grandfather could tell me stories about the history and the meaning of the monument , other people did it about subjects as the hip-hop group “Fakkelbrigade” . very interesting and refreshing.

The first fieldtrip was to the Cosima von bonin but that that I had to go to the dentist or something , I don’t know for sure anymore, too bad because I heard it was very interesting because here topics were very unusual , I heard the subjects like “Laziness and Sloth” were the most interesting ones because it was so abstract and weird.

Allot of people also went to the photo museum but that day I was sick so I could not enjoy the pictures they saw there, when my headache was gone I went to school again and asked a couple of people what they saw and thought about the photo museum. Some people just said it was boring but then Sjoerd Krook said it was not that boring as everyone told me it was.He said only the first part was boring because a story was told about something Sjoerd didn’t even remember, after the story it became interesting he told me.I also went to a festival because of CKV , Walking the world in Spijkenisse , it was practically in my own backyard.

I was there , Sunday the 29th of may, I really was excited and the way this was organized was also very interesting because the night before the whole stage wasn’t build yet. I woke up at 10 in the morning and instead of the singing birds I usually hear, I heard music. I got there as soon as possible.When I came there some man I didn’t know was performing , and we wasn’t even that good so that ruined the start for me a little. I also went to Top notch extravanganza a hip-hop get-together.People like “Duvel-Duvel” and the group “Zo moeilijk” were there and it was a crazy evening with allot of dancing and allot of filming.

In the remaining classes we always just went to the computer room or mediatheek and worked on our remaining reports , too bad we did not do any more lessons about 3D shapes or something like that. That would have made the course so much more interesting instead of working on reports day in and day out. Just a tip to help Mr. van Druten a little bit , because allot of the people in my class tell me they are just having a hard time trying to concentrate on CKV.To bad I am not really into art myself because If I were this would be a great class for me.

Conclusion : It a great class for people who are interested in art or people who like to make reports all the time. The teacher could be better but I think he was a good teacherTips for next year : less reports , more activities .Maybe that will get the attention of the students more and then they will get better grades.
